PopCap Plan XBLA Plants Vs. Zombies

July 19th, 2010 by

Last week I reported on how PopCap were currently planning to bring the hugely popular Zuma to Facebook. This week, PopCap have announced their intentions on bringing the insanely enjoyable Plants vs. Zombies to Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 MS Points when released “early September”. Not only that, but the social gaming company  have also detailed their plans on a retail, boxed game for the 360 which will include Zuma, Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies, with a “Game of the Year” release of the original PC/MAC game later in the year.

The XBLA release of PvZ will be a must for those who have as yet not had a chance to play the game, as well as fans of the series, the game comes bursting with new modes, mini-games and achievements. Ed Allard, head of worldwide studios at PopCap, explains “with a ton of new features and content exclusive to the XBLA version, we’ve pulled out all stops to expand [the game] for a hard core gaming audience”.
