It’s not often you get to talk to a true legend, a person who has affected the lives of almost every gamer on the face of the planet, but that’s exactly what we did when we hooked up with Yuji Naka, creator of Sonic and genius behind the recent Ivy The Kiwi? for DS and Wii. In this very special video interview, he talks to us about his latest title, why it won’t be coming to either Sony or Microsoft’s platforms, why Move and Kinect have him excited, how he’d love to make another Burning Rangers AND a new Girl’s Garden, why it was an ‘easy decision’ to leave SEGA and the reasons he’s said ‘goodbye’ to Sonic.
Midlife Gamer Meets: Yuji Naka

Excellent work there Xero and Frostie.
He seemed quite keen to hammer home that fact that he’s walked away from Sega and his old work in order to make something new and exciting.
My favourite bit hands down is…
Xero: Whats your favourite biscuit?
Yuji Naka: I like Steak
The guy created Sonic so from now on in my mind, steak is a biscuit!!
Steak is basically just a meaty biscuit. Also, yeah, anyone arguing with his point essentially boils down to;
“did you create Sonic?”
“no”
“Then STFU, steak is a biscuit”
That was a really insightful and enjoyable interview guys, props to you both!
