Rez was a staggeringly beautiful game. A music action title that required the player to fly through different levels taking down abstract geometric shapes while simultaneously creating a soundtrack that blew most other experimental electronica albums of the time out of the water. Fast forward a decade and the team behind the art shooter is back with another Synaesthesia title, this time for Sony and Microsoft’s seventh generation consoles and their respective motion controllers.
The new trailer for Child Of Eden is below and you’ll see a few glimpses of arguably the first “real” game for Kinect. Ignoring the actors trying to mime the actions being represented on screen – badly – the music alone would have sold this to me, the gorgeously detailed on-rails shooting and levels of precision the team at Q Entertainment are aiming for (seewhatididthere?) seal the deal.
Child Of Eden is out in the second quarter of this year, for more details visit the official website.

Being a fan of Rez HD I must say I’m pretty jazzed for this. Turn off the lights, crank up the sound, break out four controllers…… sexy time!
Don’t you think Kinect demo’s well in high production controlled environments :)
I want to see a show of hands though…
Kinect or controller?
Oh man, this is going to support FOUR vibrating controllers!
Going to have to make a special harness to wear for this game.
It will feature strategically placed ‘pockets’ to insert controllers.
