I was wondering how obtrusive that controller is when you're sitting back in a relaxed position on the sofa. I can't imagine playing it like the photos above for very long (resting your arms on your knees)...if I spend too much time like that on the bog playing with my iPod, I loose all feeling in my legs and end up walking like Bambi on ice.

The shifting of your viewpoint certainly seems to be a disadvantage too.

Is it possible to play the complete game on just the controller screen (i.e. the other person you share the TV with starts watching their favourite house renovation show, but you want to carry on mindless slaughter)?

I've just read this as I'm talking to a friend about the Wii U on Twitter. Half of me really wants one but the other half (the one that has hold of my wallet) is reminding me that I was incredibly disappointed by the original Wii. I had nothing against the underpowered nature of it, just let down that most developers ignored and those that did just pumped out ports and casual games.

I'd guess that unless I find a great deal on I'll be holding off to see what sort of support it gets. Glad you enjoyed it though and can see promise in the new hardware.
