I wasn't able to post using my iPhone last night. Does anyone know why? Is it a setting on my iPhone or just that the site isn't compatible?

You have to use the HTML button at the far right. That will get you into a window where you can type your stuff.
Then press insert and then press the post reply button as usual. Sometimes it can be a bit hit and miss, sorry.

I don't know the details of any additional costs or how many users would benifit but are there any plans to make these forums accessible on Tapatalk?

I think its something that needs to be installed / updated on the site to allow it to work properly.
Maybe worth chatting to Chris / CrazyFruitBat) on how he managed to enable it over there, if you wanted to allow this? I use it to get to S4G, because of the filtering on schools broadband bans the site due to swear words / topic.

It's not up to us to write the code necessary to enable it, I don't know if S4G wrote their own forum software, but we use a wordpress template forum. It'd be up to the developers of this software to add in support for an app like this.

I've taken a look into the solution that Snaj mentioned, but alas its not built yet to work with these forums, its already been suggested by people that it should be, so may in the future

Tapatalk is a real neat app and because MLG will be listed on the site lists with Tapatalk enabled expect a few more members signing up to our forums. Keep on at them to get it sorted.

I'd also like to add my voice to those calling for TapaTalk
functionality to be added to the forums. It makes posting and viewing the
threads so much easier and would definitely make joining and posting more
appealing to a lot of people. Any more news on the feasibility of bringing this
in?

Hi guys & gals.
First off I'd like to say thanks for your feedback regarding this issue. It's been a challenge that's been on our radar for some time.
The main challenge for us is that the forum software that we use doesn't currently support posting from iPhone/Pad or even Android OS, & they've acknowledged this as a development area.
That said we've discovered a workaround that will allow posting in a basic way from the devices mentioned.
You are now able to manually select your posting method from within your Profile Settings.
The default method is set up as Rich Text (TinyMCE), as this option provides the most versatility when it comes to embedding images & video into posts. You can now select plain text as your input method, which will allow you to post from your sexy mobile devices, albeit without the advanced embedding features.
Feedback on this is appreciated as always and be assured that once native iPhone support is introduced we'll let you know.
Now go do that voodoo that you do so well!

Glad my iPod caught up now cuz when I posted this first, the post was blank lol
I'm still hoping for TapaTalk at some point as the loading and navigating of the site with the iPod browser are kinda sucky :-p
