Loving it soooo much right now…so much I'm almost annoyed that Battlefield 3 just dropped through the mailbox.
After not being able to play much recently managed to get a few hours in yesterday and in one sitting managed to dispatch the Hellkite/bridge dragon (no glitching, pure melee), the Black Knight on the tower above said dragon, the Bell Gargoyles (summoned the Sun Knight and kicked butt on my first attempt!) and the Capra Demon (again on my first go!).
So now I've cleared out the Undead Burg & Parish (except for Havel the Rock – will deal with him later) and am about to head on down to the Depths.
Awe inspiring game.

I did get disconnected from live, but logged in again after. Maybe next time I load it up!
EDIT: Yep. That fixed it.

Finished my Quest!!!
75 Hours / Lots of grinding. (tip for all, if you're stuck in an area get your trainers on and then just run through the area to 'test the waters' .
Feels good although i think i had the worst possible ending one can get.
I wont spoil it. Feels like a long time since i started my journey.
Bye Bye Dark souls! Hello Skyrim and MW3

When beating those giant gold fellas,
1. Attack the little one first.
2. Use fire Magic
3. After small fella is dead run away around a broken pillar and use ranged attacks on the fat Smogh.

Good to see how everyone else is getting on with this. I just started exploring the Depths in the last few hours, damn those friggin' frogs..! Mind you I'm playing pure mage so far and with a bit of craft I can make sure they rarely get close enough to curse. I'm loving the challenge but mind you I'm gonna do the infinite souls glitch as soon as I get the kit to do it – then I can bang through the rest in time for Skyrim

I am glad I got this.
Today I managed to take the Taurus Demon down on my first go. I felt great. I walked along the bridge and out smarted the Dragon. I was on a roll, who ever said this game was hard?
I smashed through a skelly or two without any trouble, and bumped into some rats. Seconds later I was poisoned and running around like a screaming loon looking for a bonfire (I have read that it cures poison.) I never did find the fire, but did find a big black knight on the top of a tower. He laughed at me and my impressive train, and twatted me.
3,500 souls I'll never see again. Bloody game.
Demon's Souls was delivered today as well. So now I can have some hardcore action in my bed!

It's a great game alright….just wish this had come out at the beginning of summer when there was bugger all else being released. Don't want to rush it and with BF3 sucking away my evenings on Live and MW3 and Skyrim coming next week…..too many games!!!

Get it after the glut. I don't think it will be going anywhere. Players will drop off obviously, but I think the kind of person this appeals to will be in it for the long haul.
Booting up the PS3 version of Demon's Souls, I was surprised to find it a lot busier than Dark Souls. Maybe I should have bought that version? Hmm.
Gears 3 will be added to my collection Friday, and Skyrim on the 11th. That'll be it for me this side of Christmas.

I'm now selling my copy, its just too stressful will buy it again when its cheap and carry on. Already played over 20 hours so already got good value for money
Do find having to grind mobs just to get back to bosses and the fact that things can hit you through walls that your weapons bounce off very annoying (ooo lets lure this mob here where it won't be able to hit me in the narrow space, WRONG) but still a great game.

I'm around lvl 35 and just met the Gaping Dragon boss…WTF!!!
Still loving it and looking forward to kicking his slimey behind.
My only problem is that I find I need at least 2 to 3 hours at a time to play it – can't just boot it up for an hour, need to immerse. Finding that time with work and a young daughter (not to mention Forza & BF3) is proving quite a challenge.

Oh…my…word. I played demon souls for quite a bit earlier this year and plan to go back but after picking this up three days ago im blown away. Ive already put 20 hourse in rang both bells and im completely addicted.
Possibly one of my favourite game worlds, amzingly dark and well designed monsters and probably the most satysfying character development ever make this game epic beyond belief.

Completely with you there, have barely put a few hours in since picking it up as I just can't face dropping in for 30 min – hour, it deserves more respect than that. With rugrats around, any free time I have for games usually sees me getting shot in the face in BF or kicking the pig bladder around in Fifa.

I haven't sank as much time into a game as this for years. 58 hours so far, got a couple of Bosses to do then it's Finale time on my main character.
There's so much I wish I knew about this before I started, feel like I wasted a huge amount of time grinding to level up, when I should have been levelling my equipment up instead.
I'm currently running 2 playthroughs, one legit and one glitched, seen the Dragon Head thing mentioned online and gave it a go but it does lose it's edge a bit when you know you can destroy anything in one or two hits. Makes for interesting PvP at higher levels though, got invaded last night at soul level 200ish and had an epic pyromancy duel in Sens Fortress on the walkways.
Hoping to finish my main characters playthrough this week before Friday, have a few days off from fantasy combat by getting BF3 or MW3 (haven't decided yet) then take a deep breath and put Skyrim into the Xbox! I'll not be trading this in though, this is one for the shelf of Awesome.

Just running around with my drake Sword atm.

This game has got me hooked at the moment, its unbelievable how satisfying it is to take down even the smallest opponent. Ive just beaten the Capra Demon.. what an arse he was!! Headed into the depths now, taken out these butcher guys had a lump of slime fall on my face and freed a man from a barrel and after tiptoeing my way through the sewers I finally found a bonfire. Anyone wanna give me a heads up as to what I should be worrying about in the near future?

Yes they are also pretty easy to kill. They don't have a damaging attack at all. They burp a gas that builds up your curse really quickly. Don't let them trap you in a corner and you should be ok.

Managed to sneak past the frogs last night and found myself in the lair of the Gaping Dragon… it sat on me
But I have a plan B; run around like a headless chicken and try and take it down with my crossbow.
If this doesnt work please feel free to offer plans C through to Z
