Hey guys. Just been looking at a review of skyward sword on IGN… Now i know IGN isn't the best and most reliable source for reviews, but they gave it a 10/10 which is still pretty rare. I've never bought a Wii before because i just couldent see the value in getting one (really not a fan of motion controls). That having been said, the Wii is now at the end of it's life cycle and it's got a fair few games that are apparently "must buy's".

Zelda Skyward Sword

Mario Galaxies

Mario Galaxies 2

That monster hunter game thing

You can pick em up pretty cheap now so im just debating on weather or not its worth it? Any input would be much appreciated.

Got another one for your list – Xenoblade Chronicles – great game, fab soundtrack and the reason I went out and got a second-hand wii a few months back.

I'll sell you mine!

Not really, as its hardly worth the cost to bloody post it these days, but you've just about nailed the entire must plays catalogue of the wii right there. To be fair though, the Super Mario Galaxy games are incredible. I am not a major Mario nut etc or anything but those games were proper old school games.

Its just plain bloody annoying playing the Wii. Having one arm raised for an extended period of time is tedious, and you cannot do long play sessions on it, unless you are using the classic controller (for Monster Hunter Tri for instance).

Heard good things about Xenoblade but this is definitely not a JRPG time of year for me! smile

Hmmm…. so only 5 games that are worth playing. Doubting buying it now really. I mean…. im a PC gamer at heart anyway. I have a PS3 with loads of games but just never use it anymore. Probably because ive been spoiled by the incredable games you can get on the PC for often much cheaper prices. That and i can actually play games on the PC so much better due to keyboard and mouse.

*cuddles up to skyrim / battlefield / trackmania* "im sorry… i didn't mean it, i just did it to make you want me more"

I bought a Wii today on a whim… I was looking in the window at Crack Converters (CEX) and they had one boxed for £45 quid and it was absolutely mint so after after a quick google to check you can run emulators on it I bought the bugger.

Will pick Skyward Sword up in the new year too, saw it at GameCity and it was beautiful awesome

Super Mario Bros. Wii

No More Heroes 1 + 2

Madworld

Dead Space: Extraction

Golden Eye

Red Steel 2

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat

Donkey Kong Country Returns

Kirby Epic Yarn

Muramasa: The Demon Blade

HoTD: Overkill

HoTD 2+3 Return

My 4 year old son asked for a Wii for Xmas, so we picked him one up at the weekend, black one with motion control plus, sports resort and we got mario kart with a wheel and lego pirates thrown in all for £140. Only ever played Wii Sports etc, but will be sticking a few "proper" games on my Lovefilm list, so cheers for the recommendations above.
