Freaky. That's what I chose anyway. After being blown away by the most extravagant error code I've ever seen I'm currently enjoying the stalled download level.
PS I know it's a beta but that doesn't mean I have to wait twenty days before I can be sarcastic about it.
Cause: Every Day a small Patch, every Day same Issues, Laggy Mousesupport (Software mouse ingame feels like a big Spoon in a cold Honeypot).
On my System Win7 64bit with Microsofts Essential i have to turn off Virusprotection to install (gameclient or Patches). Shut down Firewall on Router.
I feel naked locked out before my House when i do so *brrrrrr* terrible Fear
The Game patcher is terrible, Took all Performance of your Networkconnection and you cant do anything else.
Then the Patcher stand still by , say we today 94,8% and did not finish.
You have allways to download a zipfile with patch from other Ressources like FTP, Megashare etc.
Ingame i can Run high quality Settings only with additional Tweaks on my Geforce 285.
The Game client stop middel of the game into Dekstop "FFXIV stop working" , i canot login right after must wait 5 min. then when i relog in all my daliy Quest are "finished" and i cant restart it, my Questmonster are locked out "you cannot attack them".
Keyboardsetting could not assigned free.

Sick, hope not to be sound too bad.
But this Game will not find the Way on my PC.
I feel today they are testing the game on the Back of all PC Users for the PS3 Version.

Yeah, its sad but its excactly that.
It´s very buggy and takes alot of finetuning to even run properly.
I only play it with an XBox360 controler because mouse and keyboard
are so non reponsive.
The game itself is very promissing the grafics are very nice and all in all
coherent.
Its core PvE (no PvP) and from its origin made for casual players.
But all around the game, the OS and hardware issues, the non existent
tutorial and the userunfriendly interface, KILL the game for any casual
gamer.
Like Lorni sad, I had to configure my router, disable my virusscan,
try at least two differnent graficdrivers (the latest one a beta driver),
buy and configure an XBox360 controler (for me and Mrs. Oli) and
all in all read lots of forums and internetblogs to get some help.
THAT´S NOT CASUAL GAMING … DAMMIT !!!
I really really hope a miracle happens till 22.09., because thats
when it goes live……

I gave up on the second day. I'm not buying a controller to play a PC game, and mouse is unusable. I googled the utorrent solution for patching. It worked, and my PC wasn't all naked and alone.
I'd like to get into it early, but my graphics card is at the bottom of the scale anyway so I'll wait to see if they can get the PS3 version to work.

There are still good ideas in the game.
One of the most discussed is the so called "Fatigue System".
Found this Video, I guess its fanmade (kudos for that) that
