Yep, I do love me a bit of Kratos. Now if only I could get my PS3 fixed in time!!! :)

I'm going through the first one now and really enjoying it. I'll definately be getting GOW3.
The trailers looks awesome, things look BIG!
I've always found demos disappointing so tend to stay away from them anyway. Take RE5, I hated the demo but loved the game.

 They made me do it.

Yeah, the opening segment of the game is apparently amazing, the demo was just a section that was a lot like previous games and really easy to put out.

The opposite for me. I loved the RE5 demo and it persuaded me to pre-order.

Plus, that was an old build. Doesn't affect the gameplay (that the original poster hasn't warmed to), but it's even more polished now. Some reviews are saying it's the best looking game ever, beating even Uncharted 2.

Yep, granted they needed a quick demo to put together for E3, but they've had a lot more time to add some spit n' polish, not that it didn't look great anyway back in October.

Sorry Phizzy! Your wish is my command. I shall say no more on the subject until I have played it!!! :)

I got the demo having never played the other two (but thinking that if it's good will get God of War Collection, either on an import or if it gets released). The normal play seemed half decent, though nothing special over a Devil May Cry / Darksiders / etc. However, I then jumped in a funnel thing and had to "fly" through a pipe, avoiding stuff, and I just kept dying. I gave it about a dozen goes, but obviously I am just too crap!
Did anyone else who played the demo find that part difficult? Will the real game be exceedingly annoying like this, or will this form a very minor part that I can persevere on to get to the good stuff?
Then again maybe I just don't like these button-mash-time-to-perfection games as I loathed Bayonetta…

Anyone else just never "got" the GOW series? I have the first one on PS2 and also the PSP version and have spent plenty of time with both, but the games seem to lack either the skill-challenge of a Bayonetta or the depth of an Uncharted (which isn't exactly the deepest game itself). Downloaded the GOW3 demo and…meh.
Along with the GTA series, Chinese food, rugby and the music of Van Morrison, I file this in a part of my brain labelled, "there must be something wrong with me 'cos I don't like this".

I think I have issues with many games which have a fixed camera.
Can be done well and can be done bad, spent an hour or so on Dantes Inferno today, mostly was fine, but open platforming with a fixed camera tends to lead to anger

I've loved the whole series, they are great games, easy enough to play, yet offer a decent challenge, and educational too, you'll learn about Greek mythology and get to kill Gods, so it's all good, oh, and Coinsmonter, the tunnel section was easy, maybe you're just crap at GOW games.

Never played a GOW game before but really enjoyed the demo so much I pre ordered it. Not normally my type of game but with enjoying the demo so much, and not having bought a game this year, i'm desperate to play something new so this comes at a good time for me. Roll on Thursday when hopefully it will be delivered.

Yeah, I suspected as much
Maybe I'll try it again when I want a break from FFXIII.

I played it a bit this afternoon and what fun I have had!!. Like I have already said, never played a GOW game before so started on normal which tbh, was harder than I was expecting . Within about 2 mins of starting, I was fighting a rather big enemy which took me 5 times before I got passed it. After about the 4th time, I started to see a pattern of attack and tried to pick and chose my attack which helped a lot, rather than button mashing So far, really enjoying it a lot and cannot wait to play again as soon as time permits.

Cannot wait to get home from work tomorrow and sink a few hours into this game. Saw some shots up on Eurogamer comparing the demo to the retail, I already thought the demo was stunning looking, keeps getting better looking and more appealing by the minute.

I can't afford to buy it yet, but giving GOW2 a bashing at the moment, just to get me all juiced up.
