I have this on the 360.  I have a ton of DLC to get thru.  Anyone care to join me?

I've finish this game twice (once on 360 and once on PC).  Happy to play thru core game again too if there is a gamer night.

Sad to say, with the bargain prices I have quadruple dipped on this baby. (feel the love)

Got it for PS3 and Xbox360 with all content, and PC and Onlive with the basic. Unfortunately, my PC is cack, and my Broadband matches, so I will be looking at some Console loving for this game.

Im happy to play through core and DLC, so I'm gonna hop over to Multiplayer Meetup and raise some new posts laugh

I have it on 360 and Dr Ned's DLC I might have picked up some of the other bits if it was offered cheap? but… I am not to sure.

I never managed to complete this game I am still playing a level 15 (one with the sentry gun), so would be good to get back into it.

Woah, somehow been missing this thread…

Been playing BL on PS3 this week past and up to level 11 as Mordecai (loving that bloodwing action)and enjoying the Freedom of Fyrestone after finally putting Bonehead in the ground.

From the forums, think most are rolling on 360. I've been playing solo so far (apart from a brief but enjoyable split screen session) and it does feel pretty empty without any compadres causing havoc.

Took a little while to get into the kill, pillage, sell grind mechanic (leading to some early resurrections) but levelling up well now and getting the quests done. Desperate to visit Island of Dr Zed DLC but think it prob best to improve a little more first…

Gun action is short, brutal and satisfying (although constant skag respawning is infuriating) and finally getting the hang of driving but, on PS3, have suffered from regular 1-2 sec freezing before and after conflicts.

Seeing as the move to cel shading graphics was a major change some way into the game's development, the 'comic book' style of BL still looks fresh and adds to the crazy fun.

Enjoying so far, glad LTTP has encouraged me to move this off my PoS!

EDIT -

Just been reading the wikipedia entry for BL and I now feel extremely short-changed by the game.  I quote:

'It was estimated that the random system could generate over 17 million variations of weapons, but actually only resulted in 987,564.'

Only 987,564 weapon variations?  I'm off to write to my MP…wink

Logs of Cynical hunter the vault Hunter: Day 1

Why the fuck do  we still use Buses? I spent six hours on that god dam tin can and tt stunk like hell.  I was sat close to the front and behind me there was some sort of gimp, a woman enter different dimensions which begged the question why was she on the bus? And a man who appeared to be chewing on plastic explosive and smelled of meat. The driver himself was no saint either. He spent half the time aggressively flirting with the girl and calling a certain “Scooter” a shiftless jerk. Needless to say I was not enjoying my time on the bus and I was only too happy to get off at a settlement called Fyrestone. My arrival at Fyrestone did not go unnoticed and a small robot who called himself “Claptrap” the robot was initially helpful but his personality soon grated on my patience. The minute the robot opened a gate a band of raiders began assaulting the town and my homicidal tendencies were called into play. I don’t remember much of the battle that ensued but I came out unscathed but wondering to myself “If I’m a professional soldier of fortune why did I come here with such crap gear?” My thoughts were interrupted by meeting a certain “Dr ZED” this man’s medical qualifications are pretty questionable at best with me finding him whaling on corpse with an axe. ZED sent me on a few menial tasks to repair a vending machine (seriously I’m a professional killer and I’m now repairing vending machines!) while getting parts the claptrap with me was fatally wounded believing this to be my chance to get some peace and quiet finally alas some holographic women begs me to save the bot, never one to let a pretty women in the lurch I saved the annoying pest to annoy for another day. I think I’ll try to find somewhere to sleep for tonight, when does the sun go down here?

As much as I bitch I do love this game.

Love this game on the 360. Have all the DLC and some pretty hefty shields/weapons if anyone needs a hand (especially for Crawmerax).
My only bitch about the game is the item drop in Claptrap's Robot Revolution. If it wasn't for the rarity of the items needed for the achievements (bobleheads, pizza etc) I'd have the full 1700 odd gamerscore. The 2/3 achievements I'm missing just keep taunting me like some demented little imp giving me the middle finger.

Several days since my low-key arrival, I’m finding out just how lawless this rock is and why Pandora is such an apt name.  Pandora’s Vault or Pandora’s box?  Guess I should have read the small print on this adventure.  Not sure if I’ll like what I find inside even if I ever track down that mystical vault.

Spent the afternoon collecting a series of journals, recorded by a missing scientist who came to this lousy planet looking for answers. What she did find took care of all of her team.  By the time I’d listened to her last piece, recorded 6 months in, I’d lost all hope of ever finding her alive.  Don’t want to spoil it for other aspiring vault hunters but it mentioned the last of her team, a ‘big boned’ lady by the name of Chimay getting pinned under an awful lot of heavy metal.  Turns out this scientist tried to enjoy talking to the mangled soon to be ex-Chimay whilst she uttered her last painful, blood spitting groans as she knew this would be the last meaningful conversation she’d have for a while.

This planet really gets in your head.  Must start training my trusty Bloodwing to rip off my head if I ever start acting that loopy.

Better get some rest. Another loooong day in Paradise Pandora tomorrow and I’m only just recovering from my tussle in the dust with Marley and Moe…

(Still enjoying the single player but will hopefully hook up with some other players just to draw a comparison before the BL time is up on LTTP.  Up to a healthy level 18 thanks to some grinding in the lost caves and other bounty board areas – appreciating the performance of the incendiary weapons and the extra backpack slots from fixing up claptraps!  Sledge is next…)

Last night, Julie went to play Bingo… this is our chance… Bounty Hunters of Pandora!!! ASSEMBLE!!!!!!!

The Players

The Soldier –    Brother “I’m the worst man date ever” Brown

The Hunter –    GoddTodd “The Clown”

The Berserker – Digital “Fists of Steel” Pariah

The Siren –       Currierox “The Pushover” (because i'm writing this and not Brother Brown!!)

Last night was an epic SEVEN hour session in Pandora. So much was accomplished in one night. We took down Sledge, Raczilla, Mothrakk and Mad Mel and ended the night with a bit of harmless fun involving cars and cameras.

First let’s start with Sledge. I’m not afraid to admit it; we did this the easy way. Run inside the room he is in to start the fight, then quickly turn around and run through the door we came through. From there we kept opening the doors so we could shoot at Sledge. Sledge apparently has no idea how to open a door or walk through an open one that is right in front of him. Occasionally one of us would get cocky and venture to the other side of the door only to quickly realise it was a very bad idea. At this point all I could hear over the headset in remarkable falsetto is “open the bloody door quickly he’s coming!”

Eventually Sledge fell to our cunningly cheap tactics and we reaped our rewards… or we would have done had his weapon that he dropped not fallen through the damn floor! Karma, it burns.

The next big challenge we came across was Raczilla. All I can say is thank the heavens for ammo regeneration! If we hadn’t had that then we would have all run out before Raczilla’s health bar was at fifty percent. We was about three levels lower than the enormous beast, but by keeping our distance and our cool most of the time; with the exception of DigitalPariah who was getting down and dirty and trying to knock out the things ankles, we managed to slay the beast and everybody cheered and breathed a sigh of relief that the fight was finally over after around 20 minutes fighting it.

The Mad Mel fight I found a lot easier than I usually do. In other playthroughs I swiftly get run over by him or one of his minions and then I just stand on a ledge just outside the arena and slowly chip away at his health bar with no fear of becoming road kill again. Last night was different. Sure there were deaths but we quickly jumped back into the fight. Dodging doom buggies and being chased by midgets with hatchets. Personally I think Mad Mel had heard of Digi’s “incident” at Eurogamer and had gone into the fight scared; making the battle much easier for us.

After a few laps around the race track to help Digi and GoddTodd earn their “Speedy McSpeederton” achievements we then headed back to Fyrestone to take on the mighty MothRakk. What a pain in the arse he was!! Once again we were three levels lower than the bloody thing! I blame BrotherBrown for this as he was in charge of the mission log. Anyway, this fight lasted a bit longer than the Raczilla one and I actually heard at least two grown men scream while trying to run away from its projectile attacks. We found the best tactic for this was to pair off and look after our partners if they went down. Slowly but surely we chipped away at MothRakk’s life bar and watched it fall from the sky. At which point we dashed over to the corpse for a much deserved teabagging session, only thing is I was Lilith so i’m not really sure what I was doing to be honest.

For the next few hours no new missions were finished; none that are in the game anyway. We decided to have a fool around in the buggies trying to see what silly places we could get them stuck or make a pyramid out of two of them and have a photo shoot. Here's some of the evidence. Speak to you soon, Currierox signing off.

Here i am again after Mr Currie laid the guilt trip on me in last nights session to write up the next epic episode of Borderlands Late to the party. embarassed

Last night the journey began under the guide line that we needed to finish at midnight so Digi could be up early in the morning.

We set off from New Haven off to tackle King Wee Wee and save the Tetanus Warren from his evil oppressive rule. ( sounds dramatic doesnt it? )

This is another one of of those missions if you use your head you can get another mission ( Corrosive Crystal Harvest ) done at the same time and help another Claptrap to recieve some more slots in your pack for more weapons etc. Tip of the day DONT FORGET TO ACTIVATE THE EXTRA WEAPON SLOTS.

While Todd and Digi took on the Crystal and Claptrap missions myself and Currie went for Wee Wee ( Stop it! Not in a George Michael way ). To be honest i was expecting so much more of a battle from him in co-op but while moving quickish and being on the small side and difficult to hit he was finished of really quickly.

This took us back to New Haven to cash in our rewards and to sell or swap all the stuff we didnt need between our selves. This sort of leads me on to a bit of a tiny gripe i have about the game. Even after 70 to 80hrs of total time i have played on Borderlands i still have no idea which weapons or Elemental Artifacts i should be using to get the best out of the character im using at the time. For me it just seems to be trial and error because it never gets explained. ( or have i just missed some thing.)

So we now moved on to Crazy Earl at the scrap yard. He needs you to see off some bandits and pesky Spiderants. Killing the Spiderants in co-op are a lot more time consuming than when you play through on single player. There's also few missions you do around this area for Earl and again if you use your head you can cash quiet a few in at the same time.

After Digi and myself bravely rescued Currie and a screaming Todd from 20+ Badass/Fire/ Spiderants Digi decides at 11:40 he has time to do one more mission. So after retreiving Kroms piece of the vault key collecting 10 cans of Skag meat and returning to New Haven to sell / exchange any crap that we have collected Digi finally left us at 01:20 in the morning. ( Hope you got up ok mate. )

We are 69 missions completed and 14hrs + into the game. awesome

Re: the two above posts by currierox and Brother Brown.

This is clearly how the game was meant to be played.  From what you've both written sounds like you've been having a blast and I am most envious.

Ploughing on alone on PS3 is ok but seems to be a smidgen (always wanted to use that word) of of the fun the 360 based MLG possee are having.

Really enjoying reading about your adventures so keep them coming!  Am picking up some handy tips from you on boss fights as well…

Only just got to Dahl Headlands last night before submitting to the lure of Dr Ned's Zombie Island so now merrily collecting brrrraaaaaains… Various undead types offering different challenges (the birds are absolute sods being so small but thankfully I have the most badass bird on my shoulder!) but the common household zombie that shuffles up looks very lifelike facially – does anyone know if Gearbox used photos of themselves, colleagues, family members etc. ?

@Brother Brown @GoddTodd  – Don't worry too much about Sunday.  It's looking increasingly likely that the Anti-gaming Gods are conspiring against me so may well not be around anyway!

Hopefully game will get a LTTP extension and we'll hook up sooner than later.  My PSN ID is 'gearyboy', are yours the same as your MLG tags?

I have to say Baron that i have never heard a 360 controller creak ( You know that anger/frustration twisting thing you do to the controller when you are really pissed off. ) over the headset in game. rofl

Our little part of four have made it 60% through the game,.

We'd have gone farther by now but we've made a blood oath not to play a single mission without all four present.

Some of us also had quite a good laugh a few weeks ago playing the General Knoxx DLC with our older characters.

I have a feeling that some of us will continue to keep playing that game on and off until the new game drops in Septrember.

I never got this game but I am seriously considering the sequel.

I wanted to know a bit more about the coop on the new game.

How does it work regarding the storyline? In a game like GOW3, which i am currently playing through with a couple of pals, we all have to agree to only play it when the others are playing it to progress through the story together. Will BL2 be the same where you will need to pick the mates you want to go through the game with at the start so noone misses out, or is it structured that if one person missed a session, the others can still play and then the next time when all are present they can heklp him catch up, or would quest be locked or whatever?
