Anyone else played this? Because it's the smartest, funniest thing I've played in ages.
Really, it's the true ending of ME3 (although it's obviously not in terms of the storyline) with fan service aplenty.
The dialogue's pretty Whedon-esque for want of a better word, with a self awareness not seen before in the series. There's a conversation during the main storyline's (supposedly) darkest moment that's downright hilarious.
Also, the soundtrack's just been posted on the Bioware forums.

I'm glad to hear this. I haven't picked up any of the ME3 campaign DLC as yet. I may wait for a sale opportunity before pulling the trigger on it all. Is it as good as the Shadow Broker DLC from ME2? I always seem to be impressed by Bioware's DLC offerings in games.

It's best to wait until you've finished the main campaign otherwise the tonal shift will be really jarring, but it's the best of the four. As for the others…
"From Ashes" – Short story, but adds a good extra character to your crew afterwards.
"Omega" – Not played it myself, generally regarded as being a bit pants.
"Leviathan" – Good chunk of story, adds a lot to the lore. Kind of a detective story.
Make sure you get all of the (free) multiplayer DLC, I've put another 10 hours into that. Never any trouble getting a game either.

I have just started my first playthrough of this (no spoilers please!).
Is there any DLC that I should buy now at the start that will enhance the story, or can i just buy at the end if I feel i want more ME3 goodness?

"From Ashes" adds a really good character with a unique perspective to main storyline, you'd want to get it/him up front.
"Leviathan" adds to the back story, but it's not essential for the initial playthrough.

And how does the DLC get 'activated'? Will I come accross iot as a side quest somewhere during the normal campaign, or is it accessible from the main menu or something else?

Check your messages on the bridge – that's usually how these things get started. Looking forward to Citadel, but too much other stuff on. It does look brilliant and a chance to just hang out with some old mates. That aren't real.

I have finished the campaign & From Ashes (Pre-Order Bonus). I have also played a ton of the multiplayer with most of the packs bar the last one or two. I'm mainly waiting to get hold of a copy of ME2 import my character and finish the trilogy as I wanted. I played ME2 on a previous Xbox (same gamertag) but ME3 wouldn't recognise the save file. I'll need to load up my ME2 save and then re-save it again on my current machine for it to work. I ended up playing with a fresh character and previously dead characters were alive again, which sort of took away from the experience a bit. I'm hoping to mix up the 2nd playthough with fresh DLC to freshen things up a bit. Like the sound of the Leviathan DLC.

Citadel starts with an email (I think from Admiral Hackett).
I've just picked up a cheap copy of ME2 (still got it installed on my 360 hard drive), plan is to play it as FemShep with all the DLC's in place.
I only lost one crew member on my original playthrough, and never really liked Jack anyway…

Despite hoovering up the ME2 DLC I've yet to play any of the ME3 DLC having completed the main mission shortly after its release.
The end of the story sort of just… ended it for me really.
HOWEVER this DLC looks ace and, from what the community have already posted and critics have commented on, I need to play this. The banter between the crew is what really made the trilogy for me

With all this talk of the DLC, it reminds me that I already have 2 on the hard drive. I beat the main story, but need to start on the DLC, I'm hearing nothing but good things about the Citadel, so may have to drop some points on it and see what all the fuss is about, that and maybe clean up the others too #JobForTheWeekend

Dropped on all Omega and Citadel today. I already had Leviathan on the hard drive. I started Leviathan tonight, and it's quite clear that I should have done this before finishing the main story.
Is this the same for Omega and Citadel ?

Finaly getting stuck into ME3 now its landed on Playstation Plus for nowt… really enjoying it.
From what I have heard Citidel sounds like a must have, I think it become accessable about half way through the main quest so probably is one to play before before the credits roll

So I have imported my ME2 save and in the end of ME2 noone in my party died. I have already met three of my ME2 party members and they are playing a good part in the game.
If none of my Party had survived the suicide mission in ME2 would I have a very lonely ME3 experience?

It's probably best to play Citadel as close to the end as possible, just to leave you with a memory of good times before the unremitting bleakness of the final couple of hours.
Also good to get some final sexy times with Miranda!

Awesome, cheers!
I've done Leviathan and Omega now, so all I've got to do is the Citadel DLC
