Millions of fans or followers can absolutely be wrong, not commenting on Bob Marley or Jimi Hendrix though.

windjunky saidpinions and constructive criticism are two totally different animals.. and millions of fans can't be wrong. Just because I don't like something doesn't mean it's crap… apart from Cliff Richard that is
Well they are crap to me, I'm not saying that I am right or that my view is what others hould feel, but to me they are crap so I said so.

Good to hear Daren has got into metal gear. It's my favourite game series by far. If you can get hold of the Subsistance version of MGS3 I highly recommend it as it has the 3d camera system from MGS4. However, it does make the game much easier – some say it breaks the game in fact (I disagree) – also it is hard to come by and also quite expensive usually (£40ish).

Brother Brown, please go to your local game store of choice with that crumpled up fiver at the bottom of your wallet and ask for a copy of Metal Gear Solid 2 / 3. Next, take that game home and PLAY THE FUCK OUT OF IT. When you're on your death bed at the end of your life, you'll be glad, trust me.

Good on you sir, a very good choice indeed! If you can start with number 3 that's probably best, though it'll be a true baptism of fire for the uninitiated.
As for Burnout, I'm trying to get on when I can, but never really about when you guys are, shame, as that game is brilliant.

Any idea which of the early ones i can play on the PS3 or do need to drag my old PS 1 or 2 out. Or attack them on the PSP?

Only the first is on PSN, though the PS3's on board emulator will also handle the original discs. As for PS2 backwards compatablity, obviously you'll need a PS3 that can do it, but I haven't heard of any emulation problems. For reference, the series is available on;
Metal Gear Solid – PSX, PSN, PC, GameCube (remake)
Metal Gear Solid 2 – PS2, Xbox
Metal Gear Solid 3 – PS2
Metal Gear Solid 4 – PS3
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops – PSP

I couldn't get into part 4, it's been sitting in my pile of shame since I bought it, played about an hours worth and got bored of it.
