@ tepic, pit traps are great against the barioth, get him in one and smash his teeth out or if ur struggling against him go for his wings first it slows him down a lot then smash his teeth! but traps are the way forward, u should have 4 take a pit trap and a shock then take trap tool X2 and net ans thunder bug, also flash bombs help a lot, also make sure u have ur highest damage fire wep on.
also what i do if struggling against a monster is cap it on the first few tries saves a lot of time and health!

Well I reckon that this is entirely your fault…my room at the Holiday Inn Express has a sofa to facilitate the most relaxing position whilst playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite! I can feel an all nighter coming on!!!

I´ve already 1 and 2 stars complete – and I did not do a thing.
I could import my savegame from MH 2 Freedom and already started with some
old stuff. But not much I never played that game anywhere need as intence as
I did the Wii Version (and of cause never played Multiplayer).
I am set up for Adhoc – My PS3 was and is always connected via cable so I got the
Wifi free. But I never tried it. Software is free to download on the PSN Network
Europa.

But one thing is for sure we will NOT play Unite this September my boy.
To my knowlege Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, or Freedom 3 will be released in Europe
this summer. So I guess it will be that  .

I've just defeated the 'urgent quest' Tigrex to open up the five star quests. It's also opened up the cave in the farm that's previously been blocked by ice. What's in there? Bloody great things!!!

I has to be – Unite even showed me my old old savegame from MH Freedom (without number).

Apparently the Japanese version imports characters, I don't see why ours wouldn't.
I really hope it comes out. I read somewhere that it wasn't being localised.

well a big congrats to discobeaver for getting to HR51!!!!!!!! totally epic ala quest killed in about the last second of the quest! well done for sticking with it, totally epic, we went on and did another jho and then tried the Rage Match event quest 2 jhos at the same time needless to say we got our asses handed to us that has to be the hardest quest on Tri, oh and i managed to forge another peice of damascus armour so just waist and feet left! roll on jhen +

Hey guys. I know I don't post much but I am aware of you guys' love for all things Monster Hunter so you were the first people I thought of for this.
Basically a friend of mine from another forum is selling a Limited Edition Monster Tri print:
It's approximately 38cm by 110 cm, and is number 5 of only 10 ever made. Plus he only wants around £60 for it I believe.
Side note: He also has a limited edition Resident Evil 5 print available.
But anyway I just thought I'd post it here in case anyone is interested before someone else snaps it up.

We had to go back…
…and we did.
Having not played any games for four months, I was unsure about digging out this title for the two year anniversary.
If I'm honest, I was looking forward to talking to the chaps much more than actually playing the game, and even though my network issues got the better of me, I can see myself giving a little more time up to this title.
Stay tuned chaps, I think we're going back to the island…
