Guys,

A minutes silence please for my Toshiba REGZA, it has gone to a better place (probably somewhere in India where it will be stripped down by slave labour for valuable metals). I am now looking for a new TV and would appreciate any advice from the community.

Initial thoughts 42" panasonic viera plasma but would welcome recommendations.

I decided to skip getting the Playstation display. After thinking about it long and hard I decided 24" is just too damn small.

So I picked up a 32inch 3D Visio TV for $450.

The 32" fits PERFECTLY in my Man-Cabinet.

It may only be 60hz, but it still manages to do very decent 3D.

Ico and Whipeout HD looked great! Same with 3d Movies.

The 3d did start to fail when playing a Sonic Generations demo. When racing through those screens at "sonic" speeds, the 3d did start to get pretty choppy. So maybe 2-5% of the 3D games won't work so great.

But it's a 32 inch 3D tv for under $500. So who's going to complain? To get 120hz on the same size TV I'd need to pay about $300 more.

And the TV Widgets are pretty cool as well.

Here's a great unboxing/review I found on it.
