I'm running onlive on a wirless connection with 4 other pcs using it at the same time most of the time, and am yet to have an issue apart from me being a bad gamer. I got myself Deus Ex and used my usual test check which is flame effects. I can detect little to no lag between input and action and generally the imagery has been crisp. Anyone tell me, as i'm lazy so haven't researched it myself, if I get the TV set up does it support full 1080p?

I ordered some cheap powerline adapters to fit my microconsole and that set up seems to work tickety-boo now.
To follow on from the 2K weekend sale, THQ titles are reduced this week (1 chosen per day).
Yesterday was Metro2033 but today it's that underrated gem Darksiders, again £5 or £3.50 to playpack subscribers.
So, if you are coming to the end of your free month's subscription, you might want to bag a bargain before you cancel…

I am currently trying to pick up a system for cheap on the good ol ebay. MaGe can you tell me which adaptors did you go with as I don't want to spank a fortune on adaptors after saving on the console.
I'm also curious to know does anyone else think that if they get the infastructure together and running smoothly at 1080p could onlive spell the death of high end gaming PC's in the home?

I as much as i've come to love Onlive i doubt it will mean the death of high end gaming unless every ever new game coming out did so on Onlive as well as being released else where. For instance skyrim isn't coming to Onlive to my knowledge neither are any of the COD or Battlefield games so their probably still will be a place for the high end machine.

Yep I agree at present Hunter, but i'm sure if they get their infrastructure together we'll see more and more companies gravitating to them. Not that I was around for it, I can be pretty sure steam started with a shaky catalogue and it is now becoming a major player. If onlive were able to get all the major game titles the fact it saves you having to shell out nearly a grand has to be a really big selling point.
The only reason I say it is my PC is on it's death bed gaming wise being at a point where more new titles won't work on it as oppose to will. I now have a choice onlive or a gaming machine. The cheapest config I have been able to work out is still going to rob me of 750 notes and that's without a monitor or soundcard as they aren't needed.
P.S. thanx for ruining my day, I was seriously hoping skyrim was headed to onlive. So it looks like it's major expence for me in the very near future.

I feel for you man on the dying PC front, there's nothing worse than having a machine you've had for years slowing dying in front of your eyes and remember all the top tier games it used to be able to run with no problem but now having problems with Plants VS zombies on full screen.
For Onlive their catalogue should only improve with time if companies such as EA drop their hopes in their own digital platforms so maybe just maybe we can dream of a world where skyrim is available to all machines.

@ CthuluLord – Here they are
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/…..038;sr=8-1
Cheapest I could find. Read some differing reports bout them but, for me, they work fine and were set up in seconds. Only drawback is that they take up the power sockets (some of the more expensive ones allow you to plug another peripheral into them to reduce need for an extra power strip – all powerlines need to be plugged directly into the wall for best results).
Only other point to note is that ethernet wires come out of the bottom of the adapters so difficult if your sockets are v close to the floor.
I find this set up gives slightly better quality than thro my laptop but overall pic quality still slightly inferior to console with the occasional break up. Still think its magic how it works!
Shame there aren't more triple A titles on yet but I use my account to play the slightly older gems that had been on my pile of shame i.e. Darksiders, Metro 2033. Compliments my console set up really well.
Best of luck getting your system up and running and hope yr new PC isn't too costly!

Thanx for the link MaGe I think i'll have to go with the slightly more expensive ones that still let me use the socket though. I just hope that having to use one end through an extension lead doesn't mess up all my master plans though.
As for the PC cost the cheapest i've gotten what I want down to so far is around the 850 mark.
