I've never played a rayman game and hadn't even heard of Origins until this months Edge popped in the door this morning, with a very cool cover image of the girl from the new Bioshock by the way.

Anyway, Edge have given Rayman an excellent review and scored it 8.  Now an 8 from Edge is very good, but Gamespot has given it an 8.5 and IGN a 9.5 so overall its looking good.

This has now jumped straight to the top of my wish list for xmas. I'm sure that because its a 2D platformer it won't do that well but it sounds too good to miss.

Download the demo dude! It should confirm it's quality for you there and then. It's just a shame it's being release now, amongst all these quality titles – it's a probability it's gonna get lost in the crowd.

Had a promo copy from work last week, and I can confirm that it's excellent, and easily the best Rayman game made to date, beautiful pastel style graphics and great retro gameplay.

Picked this up last night after finishing Uncharted 3 and trading it in…after a few hours gameplay all i can say its stunning to look at even on the Wii..thats what i picked it up on..the gameplay is spot on and it just brought a big smile to my face as i worked my way through these beautiful levels.Brings back good memories of the old 16 bit era of platformers and makes a great change from all these fps and sandbox world games that we seem to be flooded with at the minute.
