What what what Oli are you mad…well madder than usual, how can you say something like this…..

It maybe a awesome game and I need to say I played under 15 minutes of it so far…which is like nothing.
I still want to finish Dark Souls first, but my life currently gives me little time yadda yadda (do not want to get to EMO).
So why on earth can I state that already I can say it will NOT be GOTY for me? Without having it even played?
OK, here it goes. It has nothing to do with the game itself, it is politics.
So I have the PC Version for the obvious reason because it is modable and francly was the cheepest of the three.
But soon after I had it installed and luckly with steam even was able to turn it into english, I soon realised that my old PC "can"
play it but is his usual loud as hell and yeah I would prefer to spend my time rather on the console…PC for me is a MMORPG
Box not any more these days….I start to realise that….It may also be because I am in a phase were I have to sit the whole day
infront of a PC/Laptop at work and just does not like it as much as before to keep on doing that at home.
So i really was tempted to buy the game a second time for PS3. So I could do my playthrough easy and relaxed infront of the
big tv and do not have to hassle with any upgrades to my hardware. Also when I am at Mrs Oli, I could easyly transfer my saves
to the PSN Cloud as a Plus subscriber and keep on questing. Also the Mrs. might have a look as well.
All reasonable all good so far. What happend next?
Well I soon realised that we here in Germany have a problem. No it is not that the game is cut in any way(Blood,bodyparts etc).
The problem is it is ONLY in German, even on a 40gb+ Blueray disc with all the space.
I did the install on PC it was about 6GB, the switch to english was a download of 1,5gb so there is ENOUGH space.
But whomever decided Germany does not need English as an option on all console versions.
And that just aggrovates the hell out of me.
So IF I want English I have to import the thing from UK or US. Then I have the problem with DLC again that I have to buy in those countries.
Also THOSE are in English ONLY, Mrs Oli does not enjoy the english as I do, so for her I would like the option to switch, that I do not have.
I would be forced to buy a THIRD version, PS3 English +PS3 German, but nobody knows if the saves will work and I had to buy all DLC twice..no way in hell….
Or I could just play it in German, I must say they really did their best in dubbing it is really OK, but it is no contest if You compair it to the original
with all the dialects. Also the german dubbing as ok as it is has sadly too few speakers so a lot of the NPC have the SAME voice (seen on youtube).
For a game where immersion and lore are such a big factor I can not life with that.
I am torn now and frustrated before even starting the game, I just want to enjoy that game but have to live with a flaw on any way I can choose.
…and that is why sadly this game will never be a contender for GOTY for me.
Not having the original English dub on the disc in this day and age is a felony and needs to be punished.
Sorry on the rant I had to get this out of my system.
