Yep and I bet you they are going to announce that FFXIV is going to be a PS3 exclusive. The Arc thing is going to be basically a Wiimote including the nunchuck part, DLC for Heavy Rain and some other mindless sequels coming out like inFomous 2, Killzone 3, and another Motorstorm game, though I may be wrong.

Well this is the Game Developers' Conference, so don't expect too many announcements of that kind, but I think motion controller demonstrations are quite likely.

Yep. Check out Mega64's trailers for GDC.
This is the geeky technical show. You want E3 for the flashy clash of e-penises show.

The rumour was correct, then. It's the Playstation Move.

Is it just me that genuinely feels that move and natal can both go fuck themselves before I would use either in the long term?

Sure it is. They have shown it before you know ;-P
Watched the live stream. So the Wii HD is coming out after all this year huh.
It´s a PS3, with Wiimote and Nunchuck that have a Sony stamp on them and are called "Sony Move" and "subcontroller"
So much for innovation To quote Nat: "I didn´t expect anything and they gave us even less than that"

No but it was pretty obvious that the Dildo with the little light on top can´t do it all and a nunchuck is needed. On that note, do ya think the "Sony Move" will have a vibrate function?

Hey isn´t that what Sony want? Fun for everyone, including the dumb girlfriend who doesn´t even know how to hold a standard PS3 controller. She´ll always find somewhere to put the "Sony Move", even in the dark as it´s got a little light on it "Playstation does….EVERYTHING! (even your girlfriend/wife)"

Just seen the event on my ipod on the way to work from gametrailers.
Well its Wii HD … nothing more…some EYE Toy Gimmicks (before You used
your Hands now You use this Motiontool weeeeeeheeee ….)
There was NO game that gets me trilled for the device.
What came to my mind was the words last mentioned by Steve Jobs:
"Whats the Killer App" … I did not see any "Killer App".
My greatest fear, now that the hardware is there puplisher and developer
will put the support in the games nomatter what, even if it will not improve
the gameplay (many Wii-Games can prove that).
"My two cents" Oli

Just looks like the Wii done right to me. Not sure if I want another Wii anyway though. That 'Move Party' looked like the obvious pack-in title. 'Sports Champion' looked a bit silly, but could turn out to be good.
I laughed when they brought out the 'PLAYSTATION MOVE SUB-CONTROLLER' — creative naming for a win! I will tell the President of 'A' Country about this.

So, Move is better than the Wii and Natal. 3D is coming in the summer. It's all about strength, the PS3 really "Only does everything".

I have that feeling too. I'm not overly excited by motion control but it really does look like Sony has the best on offer. More precision and range of motion than the Wii. Tactile feedback with rumble and no lag unlike Natal. It's good to know that IF I want to play Tiger Woods with motion, play some dumb, fun fighting game, or anything of the sort I don't have to own a kiddy Wii. Move just strengthens PS3 and builds on its continuing momentum.

I'm sure we all know this, but sometimes the fanboys forget, so it's worth pointing out again.
It's all about the software. It doesn't matter how techincally proficient the hardware is. The PSP is an amazing bit of kit and look what's happened to that.
I think Natal looks like the most impressive piece of equipment in what it does but if there's no 'killer app' then it's useless.
All the people who bought a Wii to play Tennis and Bowling aren't going to go out and buy a PS3 because it has motion controls.

But maybe kids in families that have a Wii so 'mummy and daddy can play too!' will be able to nag their parents into buying this stuff since it's similar to the Wii stuff they're used to. And the kids will be able to play real games too.

Not a bad point there Phiz, but there is the price difference for the parents to think about.
Also, I'd have thought Nintendo have already milked those families out of their money over the past few years.
I just see both Microsoft and Sony ensuring they keep up with current trends. Not sure either solutions are going to set the world on fire, but good to see that compertition is forcing creativity (to a point)

The 'Move' will make playing the type of games that I live e.g. Socom, better by allowing me to point where I want to shoot. Metroid Prime Corruption had the best FPS mechanic ever. Better than a keyboard and mouse even IMO. Now I get to use that on a console that has online multiplayer and voice chat and decetn graphics and sound. Sweet. Natal doesn't give me any of that.

I find it amusing that M$ and Fony stated that they weren't in competition with the Wii, and I do remember a lot of people declaring that the Wii's motion controls would never work. How about Harrison going on about how the next (this) generation of games didn't require rumble when everyone knew about the legal dispute with Immersion? Funny how things turn out.
Whatever you think of the Wii's motion capability, I love the fact that it's the only controller that you can really use whilst lying down and that I can play with my arms crossed!
They take a lot of flak but I for one continue to appreciate what Nintendo does for the industry that I love.
