hey peeps i thought i would just start a thread just to see how many people will be getting it as for me it is often this time of the year when i go balls deep in a mmo
feels like this is the one to do it with being a star wars fan so i would not mind trying to get a mlg guild going on this if we have enough or even just some buddies to enjoy this whole new adventure

I got early access aswell but its on the 15th. No matter, its still better than the 20th.
Two of my mates have ordered it too and we will be playing together. Would be great with a MLG guild as long as it is on a pvp server.
Early Game Access begins on December 13th at 7am EST.

I'm getting it and I have early access but u are allowed access in the order u registered so I don't know when I will be getting on.
I guess first person who gets access gets to choose the server?
Just post when u get in.
Whats everyone going to play? Got to be a Sith I think.
Played the Beta it's pretty cool and I tried a few classes out and they were all good fun.

Bounty hunter was awesome from what I played of it in beta weekends, far more enjoyable then trying to be a jedi anyway.

Yes I had a quick go at BH, it was fun just like all the classes I tried really.
For me tho it is a Star Wars game so the lure of a lightsabre is difficult to resist. Particularly as Sith cos you don't have to worry about all that Jedi hippy-drippy, tree-hugging, sandal-wearing bollocks!

Inquisitor, the ability to fry people with force lightning and use a double-ended lightsabre looks fun. Not played the class yet but played a Sith Warrior for a bit and the storyline was really cool and dark (as you'd expect I suppose) plus aside from BH's Sith's get the best looking ships.
The problem I have with MMOs is alt fever so I will probably end up with one of everything up till about level 20 and then go back to Skyrim!

I just got an email saying I had early access, that I could go to a link to find out more.
I just tried logging in just like in the beta, instead of going through those hoops and I was allowed to pick my server etc. see the cinematics.
Try it. You never know.
Don't wanna pick my server if everyone else can't join though.

Altered Ego what date did you redeem your pre-order code? Cos people are supposed to be granted access in that order.
I redeemed mine on 29th July. The date is on the Code Redemption section of your account on the SWTOR website.
Also Altered Ego you may as well pick the server and we'll follow u. Assuming it isn't full by the time we all get access!!

The server filling up is my fear. I'd rather hold off a day or two and make sure we get sorted together because some people (im talking to you tilt!) mightn't get in much closer to launch and I dont wanna miss out on that craic as thats the whole point of the thing
Whenever we get a couple of us with access we can sort it out. Probably easier to get you over twitter or steam. my steam ID is 'The Altered Ego' if you dont already have it.

A buddy of mine redeemed on 27th and was in today. I was in too after redeeming 22nd. Am on a PvE server at the mo, guild here on Peragus Mining Facility. If you are making a PvP server guild though I'll roll a toon on there too.

How did you guys get your early access?
Was it just by pre-ordering the game?
Think I may wait and see what everyone else thinks before taking the plunge as there are still so many other games out there for me to buy at the minute :-)

indeed I did, the reason being that this server is home to the uber guild that is PC Gamer Magazines 'Mint Imperials'. They currently have a membership of around the 500 mark, and I would imagine their demographic is broadly similar to MLG – which should lend itself nicely to grouping opportunities

Yes I agree re Mint Imperials. I've made a character on the server the only issue is that it is shown as 'heavy' in the server screen, so not sure whether it will be full by 20th?

speaking for myself, I didnt spend much time in beta, so I would imagine for the first couple of weeks at least I will be trying classes out, and might be jumping around the quieter servers just so I can do this
no doubt there will be server queues for a while so it might be wise just to wait and see how things pan out – as you say in the other thread the earlier stages will be largely single player in any case
