Was thinking the other day about the greatest achievements I've managed to eeeeerm achieve in gaming so far. (Pretty sure I was on the throne at the time. That's where I do most of my thinking).

ANYWAY!

My top 3 consist of:

1: Gears of War 2 – Seriously 2.0

2: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – Mile High Club

3: Mass Effect 2 – Insanity

Would love to hear anyone elses top 3.

It doesn't have to be actual achievements/trophies. Anything you think is worth a mention.

I was thinking the same thing recently, i came up with:

1. Little Rocket Man – HL2:ep2
For taking the Garden Gnome from start to
finish then launching him in the rocket.

2. Twice Nightly – Arkham City
Completing New Game + so awesome.

3. Wake up Alan – Alan wake
completing nightmare difficulty.

Another two that i love would be "Balls" from Deus Ex HR and "Drink Em Both Up" from Alan Wake, just for the humour.

My favorite achievement of all time is the Dastardly Achievement in Red Dead Redemption, which you get for tying a woman up and putting her on the train tracks.

Can't recall most but the Romantic achievement from The Darkness holds a special place in my heart.

1. Full 300G on Trials HD – The Marathon and complete all extreme tracks achievements were real pains in the arse!!

2. Every step forward in Dark Souls is an achievement in itself

3. Completing Left 4 Dead on expert was a challenging and emotional test

I think my favorite gaming moment so far has to be getting my first Platinum on Burnout Paradise after about 300hrs of game play.

But it has since turned in to one of my worst moments in gaming when the Gaming Gods chose to wipe all my data from my PS3 and Critereon have chosen to ignore all my pleading letters to fix it. cry

Bit of a mixed bag for me…

1. Getting the Mile High achievement on MW (that was preceeded by 2 hours of swearing at the telly every 30 seconds)
2. Anyone remember that Gamestars thing on ITV back in 2002/3. Well I entered that and made it through to the last 16. Finally got knocked out on a head to head on Tony Hawk on the Nokia N-Gage (whatever happened to that, or decent Tony Hawk games).
3. Playing Space Invaders on my Atari2600 and getting the score counter to reset to 0 (I think the highest it could count to was 99,999). I think I was 6 at the time.

Only one of any note I can remember

Completing vandal hearts 2, fuck that game was hard!

I don't have the patience to go for those super hard achievements nowadays

1.) Finishing Gears 3 on Insane, campaign, Horde and Beast. On campaign that last boss was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had while gaming but it was great to conclude the series, especially playing co-op. Beast was finished during a lock-in in my local where we had all taken down TVs and consoles for a Gears and Beers session. Horde was another long, long night but finishing off that last Lambent Beserker was awesome.

2.) Finishing Zelda Twilight Princess. TP wasn't the best Zelda game but, to my shame, I'd never finished any of the series despite loving each I've played. Finishing TP felt like I had finally got one over a series that always out-lasted my attention span.

3.)Reaching rank 100 on Gears 2. I reached level 80 something and then my Xbox RRoD'd. I bought a new one, transferred my stuff…but my rank didn't. I absolutely grinded the hell out of that game after that, hit level 100, ejected the disc and have never looked at it since! I needed to get to 100 just to spite the damn thing.

Don't really try much for achievements, prefer to move on to the next game  though will try to get that red dead one smile

Recently killing Raam in gears 1 was great, so tough compared to the rest of the game ( yep I'm not very good at console shooters games as I've said embarassed).

Getting about 20% through Dark Souls (so far) after nearly giving up on the first boss embarassed.

Oh and getting to level 50 in daoc with a thrust polearm armsman which was such a crap and slow to level class in the early days.

Top 3 for me :

1)Complete CoD:w@w on veteran difficulty (random nades and respawning enemies made this a bitch to get).

2)Not a specific one, but getting every achievement on Fallout 3 was a proud moment for me.

3)Finishing GH2 on expert and acing Freebird.
