Just played about an hour of this with a buddy. It is basically an action turret defense game, albeit with loot, and a pretty awesome sense of humor. In any given mission, you are tasked with defending one or two locations from beasties, which appear from  a number of spawn spots. These monsters come in a variety of flavors, and need to be killed before they reach and start beating on your defendy bits. As is the norm for this genre, the different monster types are best dispatched using a certain type of weapon, be it one equipped on your mobile tank, or an encampments, that you can place using scrap.

The strategy in the game comes in at a couple of points. First, you need to choose what to take into the battle, and each of the many frames allows for a certain kind of setup. A battle can easily be won or lost at this point, but the mission briefing gives overt clues as to how you should approach a mission. Next, while in the midst of the fight, you have to choose where to place the turrets, and you should generally choose a natural choke point, and then back it up with a slow down turret, or something like that. The game is playable with up to three people, and even with just my friend and I, we were tooling our selves to deal with a certain aspect of the defence, so for example, I would load up on flak cannons, while he would throw out shotgun and machine gun turrets.

Did I mention the game has loot. No? This game has loot, and some of it is random and rare. The diablo fan in me, is already planning to go back and grind a couple of the earlier missions, to get more cash and… LOOT!!

Ahem. Its good and I like it. I would give it 5 conch shells out of 5. laugh
