Hi all,
To get things going for the MLG X-Box BF3 community members, I've started up a platoon on Battlelog for us. If you search for 'Mid Life Gamer' it should crop up. There's a few platoons already with the tag 'MLG', but you should be able to find it ok.
My origin ID is Norfolk_Jesus – if other post theirs here it'll help with friend requests. Battlelog doesn't seem too good with gamer tags for some reason.
See you on the Battlefield…!

Sounds great.
Up till last nite still having connection to server issues. Not managed any online yet – cheers EA! 
Fingers crossed it'll all get sorted soon. Wonder if they've tried turning it off then on again?
EDIT – finally got on but can only do it via Server Browser and on US games. Anyone else having trouble getting on European server games?

The servers have been all over the place since launch mate.
Is there an issue joining the platoon? There's a fair few fans but no application – I'm not sure if I've got the thing set up right. I'll be working on a shiny logo for it this week and everything!

Its really confusing innit.
You have to sign in with your EA master account, the account you have Bad Company 2 registered to and all your other EA games which use online (PS3 and 360). Once you log in you can add BF3 to your games list then when you next play online it all syncs and you can add friends. If you cant remember your details, select 'Forgotten Password' and type in the email address you think is most likely correct and it will send all your details through again.
Looked like there was loads of the MLG crowd playing last night on 360, hopefuly get on tommorrow for a blast.
Hows the servers holding up now?

I've updated the platoon on Battlelog with a crappy graphic that looks slightly like the MLG logo, and slightly like a phallus, but it's the best I can do! I've also added all the requests so that members are now members – I'll do this on a regular basis from now on.
How about a regular night for a spot of nonsense then? I'm not sure what other games are being played regularly and on which nights, but I can do pretty much any weekday night.

It's a nightmare when you're landed with a bunch of biffs who don't work together. It does prove the selling point of the game being effective teamwork though.

Finally sorted battlelog out, many minus marks to EA for such a crap system. Why the feck could they not let you just manually add/link accounts  .
