With DC Universe going free to play later this month, I mentioned briefly about an MLG collective getting on board with this.

I'd be up for this one, looking forward to creating a hero / villian when all goes free later this month. Online time, due to home circumstances, a little erratic but I can often be found on the systems most Mon, Thurs and Friday evenings…I could always be 'Captain Late to the Show'?

DCUO is now free to play and I am happily trying to download a monster patch buton reading the site we need a paying subscriber in order to get the MLG Roadhouse League started.
Anyone out there currently subscribing?

Not a subscriber I'm afraid but am currently downloading the 14 GB required to run the thing. Taking ages. 3.5 hours and counting… All this time might actually give me the opportunity to come up with a half decent name for my hero / villain. No great ideas yet… … what about Procrastination Lad?

I hope you have other jobs to do while you download it, mixindave and games247. Took me over 8 bloomin' hours (and with a fairly healthy t'internet speed too – must be a lot of gamers trying to do the same thing).
Had a go making a character last night, a fair few options to choose from but have gone for a 70's street look with a hefty dollop of nature powers. Being a Welshman, thought I'd go with a welsh word for my name – Sbwriel.
On face level it sort of fits in with some of the other DC Universe name choices (think 'Azrael' and 'Ra's al Ghul' but, when translated into the language I actually speak, rather effectively describes my general gaming abilities!

well,
all my character names were changed to have a suffix of the server I was on at the time.
I have recreated one so far, so keep an eye out for Aberrant on the EU PVE server if you wanna hook up.
to be honest, I hit max level with a character within the free period, so I'm not fussed about starting over.
The other thing I would say, does anyone have preference of PVE or PVP server on PS3?

ok guys,
I sunk the £9.99 to get the 1 month of legendary as that is the only way to set up a league or legion.
I've set them up on the EU PVE server.
Legion – Grief Dilemma
Leader – Prestidigitator
League – MediusVitaVenatus
Leader – Aberrant
I will be online as either of the above two, or as Endothermic so give me a shout, or add your character names and I can invite you when I see you online.
I'll probably be online most nights this week, until Skyrim arrives through my door, and then it will be once or twice a week, so see you all in game.

You will probably find your characters now have a weird suffix on their names due to the server merge. You should receive a free rename token within first 10 mins on each character so if you didn't like the names, now is the time to change em.
