Got a great response from codemasters about my email. Apparently my account has been reverted to a state of active trial, as part of a special promotion.
They said they'd email when that changes.
I like that a lot. Was on earlier on trying to tie up the end of the Prologue but it seems like it'll take me up to around Lvl 14 or 15 by the time I finish my side quests, so maybe I should just go progress the story, and see how that gets on.

just get to the bit in the prologue when you are asked to meet a certain ranger, and stop there

Hi Mikey
I can play tonight as well. See you later
Mixindave – U are right about the quest after the trollshaws it's a real pain. Too many mobs for a hunter to handle solo. We can try teaming up maybe. The only issue that if we team up you don't get the superbuff that u get for soloing the quest. If we have issues I am sure I can get a couple of guildies to help us out.

Second post gives an update on F2P delay.
http://community.codemasters.c…..layed.html
Looks like the delay is until the end of the month at least. Boo!

I'll paste it in, here it i s
Following our announcement on Wednesday regarding the delay of
Free-to-Play in Europe, we can now provide you with a further update as
to its status. It’s not good news I’m afraid. We are currently
anticipating a delay of more than a week, potentially launching around
the end of the month, and are still not in a position where we are able
to confirm an exact date.
As you know, we were tracking a launch date of 10th September and up
until recently thought this was still achievable; however, due to some
major obstacles this date is simply not possible. Many of you have asked
for a detailed explanation as to why this has come to be and why there
wasn’t very much notice of the delay. Regarding the implementation
challenges we talked about, the good news is that our Store and new
servers are just about ready to roll, barring some final, live stress
testing that needs to be performed.
We understand this is disappointing for you, more so because of our lack
of communication in the earlier part of the week coupled with the last
minute bad news. As the situation was changing literally from hour to
hour, we weren’t in a position to tell you anything with any stability
to it.
As we work to bring Free-to-Play to launch here, all eligible players
will still continue to accrue loyalty rewards as per the rewards table
on the website. We’re also laying on a bunch of your favourite live
events on all servers starting next week and we’re introducing a
community competition to allow you to take out your frustration on us
and win some great prizes in doing so. We know this won’t substitute for
the new Store and Enedwaith, but maybe it will make things a little
more fun for you as you wait. Look out for announcements on all of these
things within the next few days.
As always, thanks for your support and patience and a particular thank
you to all of you who took the time to send us personal messages, those
were awesome and really appreciated!

I wont be playing on Saturday nights – Mrs Dredlox wouldnt allow it
My hope when starting this thread was that we would play on a fixed day or maybe two days each week. Tuesday seems to suit everyone, one suggestion I made earlier is we also play on Fridays if people want to group up more than once a week
Maybe people would prefer just to play as and when they like, bear in mind though Helms Deep is very unlikey to have more than a handful of players and already the level range is 7 lowest – 18 highest and this is likely to widen unless we somehow roughly play the same amount each week
So can people express a preference – do we play as a group once a week, twice a week, more than this and on what days, or just play as and when we like, mixing up solo and group when people are available, bearing in mind it will be much harder to play together in the long run if we do this?

before you do anything more is it the snowborn server your in? also a fellowships is basically just another name for a group that you do quests with. a kinship is a clan.

yes it matters – you need to be on the snowbourne server
and you also need to be online at the same time as we are if you want to meet up with us – read up on this thread and add our character names to your friends list, then you can see if we are online – when we are we can speak to you by sending you a private message

friday is a for me. i have my daughter this day. im happy to leave my level 18 alone for a while to help people catch up. im not too bothered about people doign quests when they want, i think if we all do the book quests together at least.

OK, it seems like the best thing would be to stick with Tuesday for the day when we all try and be online at the same time and do the book quests – in between times we play alts, do solo quests, help lower level characters out etc – all the while trying to keep the core group within a reasonably narrow level range
as we stand there are 8 of us and maybe more to come – so splitting into 2 groups on a Tuesday will be likely
anyways what is great is that we easily have enough characters to form our own kinship, and I'll probably get this sorted tomorrow

**important news**
so with it being Sunday I thought it would be a good time to sort the kinship out
I have bought the kinship charter and I will be making roychubbybrown and kodachi recruiting officers so I need them to hopefully be on some time today asap (and let me know approximately when it might be convenient)
after that if people can make an effort to log on today even if it is for a few minutes and give some notice in here when you might be on, so one of us can invite you in
if people can also just quickly create a level 1 character as an alt and post the name here it will help get the numbers up
once you are on please send an instant message to myself or one of the officers and ask for an invite
remember we have 24 hours to get 8 members in so the clock is ticking go Helms Deep!

Hi Mikey
I can definately be on tonight and at some point this afternoon.
Tamriel and my LM are in the Last Alliance and I'd like to leave them guilded there for the moment. As discussed previously we could set up an alliance with this guild at some point. I consider Kodachi to be may main character at the moment so I don't see an issue with leaving these guys in my previous guild.
But I do have some alts that we can put in Helms Deep including a mid teens RK who could heal in a pinch if we are struggling with a particular instance etc.
Was the guild charter expensive? I have plenty of money with my characters on snowbourne and I can give you the cost of the charter if you like because I know that you only have a low level character on the server.
