The perfect way to feed the habit whilst the Mrs is watching the TV. wink

It just dawned on me recently that I have never played this game with any of my 'chums'.  I haven't really played much of it at all online.  The last time I did was before the European 'Ad-Hoc Party' app for the PS3 was launched.

I just wondered how many people are playing this and would there be any interest in some Ad-Hoc party fun sometime in the future?

Brother Jim is a closet Monster Hunter!  Good man.

Yeah, we'll have to get something worked out for multiplayer.

Jim, what armour are you rolling with?  There's so many and I'm only on the three star quests fot the village.  Just got myself a low rank  'Rare5' armour set which has gathering skills and defence over 100???  Although I've spent about 60 hours in FU, I never used to do much gathering, or a lot of combining.

I find the farm a bit of a ball ache though.  Has anybody got the bee hives up and running yet?  The dude who converts the Pokke points into restoration hasn't given me the option yet to restore any bee hives yet.  The felyne in the farm keeps telling me that they're on the right but there's nothing there.  Is that his right, my the right of somebody else?  I want to farm some honey!!!! confused

Finally opened up the beehives.  Just had to finish the 3 star village quests.  I had to finish the hunting quests and then the urgent quest.  I definitely prefer what they did to the farm in Tri, giving you the choice of which item you want to plant/nuture.  Unite's farm is just like  various gathering spots with %'s on drop rates.

I know it's relatively early in the game, but the dude for the urgent quest went down in just over ten minutes!  The Khezu shock sword rules! thumbs-up

Good work. I hate the pink farty monkeys! MHFU does have more of a sense of humour about it!

Just had a few awesome games on Adhoc. Farming Tigrex no less! Such a great game! smile

We may have to schedule a Wednesday evening on the FU!!!

I'm pretty sure adhoc supports voice chat on the headset as well. If only I could find my little charging lead!!!

By the time I noticed you were on and I had left the room I was in, your room was already full!

Then I started another room and saw Disco wondering around in the background but there was nothing I could do to prompt him.

I had a great time on there though.  An American dude was talking me through which quests to do to get the urgent and when I should be taking antidotes etc.  It was all coming through my speakers but seeing as it was only him talking, it was ok.  I wasn't sure if he could here me though.  I wondered if the mic on the eyetoy would pick anything up but not sure on that one.

Got my Tigrex armour sorted though.  Nice Autotracker abilities and good defence.  Standard, it comes with a +8 Earplugs skill as well.  I think the materials to create those jewels are in the seven star quests though so I promptly unlocked the six star quests and am plodding through those now.  There are only seven and I shouldn't have to do them all.  Had to do the Urgent Quest 'Rathian and Rathalos' to open up six.  It was nice to fight monsters that I know so well.  Piece of cake! wink

I'm not even near the offline halfway stage on that game.  So much to do.

Seeing a few rooms on there for portable third though.  Hmmmmm.

**UPDATE**

Just read that the materials I need for the Earplugs gem are in the 8 star quests!!!  I've got some hunting to do tonight!

You were on-line when i was  surprised

I had no idea man, i dont think you are on my friends list for PSN so i wouldnt of noticed if i had of seen you. Well least i know till next time.

Connection does seem to cause a few issues but after talking to Tepic i think it may be to do with my Upload speed due to the Way Ad-Hoc party works.

I think we should try and get some time on MHFU, i need to level up a bit so when september comes im not the total NOOB.

Big Hairy Plums.

I've hit Shen Gaoren, like a bloody brick wall.  Two brick walls in fact, covered in my blood.  Thirty minutes to repel or kill him and it's just not happening.  I've crafted a new suit of armour with quake resistance and now I'm thinking that I may have to take a look at my weapon situation.  I may be close, but I'll never know until I've done it.  GS and LS have been attempted.  Tonight it's Hammertime! wink

Jim, what tier quests are you fighting Plesioth in?  I haven't had to fight those yet.  There are only a few quests in each tier that you need to unlock the urgent quest to unlock the next tier, but I'm sure you know this.

If you can take down a Rathian the you can take a Rathalos.  Take traps and bombs.  Then more traps and bombs.  Seriously, if you take Combo Books 1, 2 and 3 out with you then you should have no trouble in taking two more trap making tools and some 'Genprey Fangs' to make the shock traps.  With the books with you, you'll have 100% success rate.  Three Large Bombs, two Large Bomb+ and a couple of small ones.

How long are you lasting before it kills you?  Are you taking enough Antidotes?  What weapons and armour are you weilding?

Failing that, ask your Dad! thumbs-up
