Agreed.  I just spent 50 minutes trying to get 5 Kelbi horns.  Epic fail.  I have 32 Warm Pelts though.  The f**kers.

ARGH COCKFLAPS!

I've been having some major technical issues tonight, After spending a clement time in hospital with my father in law, I returned home to find my gaming rig bluescreening every 5 minutes, not good.

After pulling the bastard thing apart and reassembling, it seems to have sorted it.

But woe is me, all you feckers are now offline!

But still, tomorrow night should be good. I don't know if I can bring anything as good as dungmaster to the mix, but my attack up L should make up for it.

Mr Oli we need you! Send me a friend request on Skype at hugo.artemis.rune and the next time we're on you Sir are in!

Unfortunately we had already started this evening by the time you posted but I'll just say this;

It makes for a fine evenings entertainment. We've got some great people playing a great game with real co-op and some very funny conversation. For me it has the same gaming feel of playing UO many years ago in a small hunting party. Backing each other up, swapping hints and tips, playing to each other's strengths and having a great time to boot.

We were trying to clear all of the first level quests tonight and the final one was a simple fishing quest. That was until this turned up, then it got gritty……

Aye, it got gritty alright, for the Ludroth. By the time we were done with him he looked like he'd been through a washing-machine!

It seems our MH community is growing daily, its great news you've gone balls deep Oli, be sure to add antman1983 to your skype contacts too. Also a little birdie told me that Mr Fista himself may be gracing the Moga Woods soon, I'll start making a red carpet out of Kelbi hides.

Good man Oli.  I'll add your friend code later.  Have you inputted ours?  I don't know if our Hunter codes are on here.  I'll check later.

Red carpet for Daren?  I've got enough Kelbi hides to cover the entire forest floor.  I'll make it nice and warm for him and as we found out last night, there's enough room for two in that bed! wink

Yep, last night was some serious fun times again.  The tips and tricks swapping really takes me back.  It's how we used to roll in the old days.

I think we do need HR9 before the second tier of quests become available.  I've just read that someone got an Urgent Barroth Quest when they reached eight.  Nearly there chaps!!! Smile

And the game just upped another gear right there.Thumbs Up

I had a look at the Japanese Wiki http://www1.atwiki.jp/mh3wii/p…..s/100.html (thank god for Google Chrome translate) and it looks like we all need to get to Level Nine.

Don't forget Hunter Ranks can go down as well as up, your health is at risk if you fail to make regular mega potions. Monster Hunter Tri is regulated by the FFS (For F%ck Sake) where did that come from!

The cheeky Japanese.  At least it keeps the pressure on.  Smile

I reckon I'm going to try the hunting the Quropeco online quests if I get a chance before next week.  At least he normally calls in other beasts to help him, then I'll have two for my buck!

I'm bound to get a couple of hours in on Sunday morning although we'll all have to get to HR9 if we all want in.  At least then we'll be able to have a go at those timed 'Event Quests'.  I'm looking forward to it.

Scott said he'd have a look at getting it today as well.  We'll have enough for two parties soon!

We normally play on a Tuesday evening at the moment but my girlfriend works on a Sunday every three weeks I think. This would give me ample opportunity to play on a Sunday for a good number of hours. Add me on Skype Oli. I think you can find me under wshayler. I'm going to attempt the Bluetooth connection to my old laptop this evening so I can ditch the iPhone!!!

OK, just had a quick hour, character selection and the first quest. I think I can handle chopping things up, though the big sword thing has to go.

Good man Scott.  When you go online in the game you get a six digit ID code that you add to become 'friends' in the game but we can sort that out when we're co-op.

I love the big sword!

Nice one Scott, I've added you on Skype.

I was exactly the same about the big sword when I first started out. I stuck religiously to the quick sword and shield combo as it gives you great movement speed.

There comes a point however when the sword and shield falls behind a wee bit. I think its about the time of the Ludroth or Quropeco your sword will just bounce off it's head, only giving you access to his tender flanks.

I still don't like the giant sword, I feel movement speed is just a bit too low and it can be a bit frustrating on a fast enemy.

Yeah the giant/big sword sucks ass I was trying to swing it around and falling off balance. Made one, sold it, never looked back.

Speaking of which has anyone noticed that you don't seem to turn a profit by making and selling gear? Or is it just me?

Antman wouldn't have noticed as he never sells anything! ROFL

Come to think of it, I've never sold something I've made.  Is that an old UO favourite?

Oh yes you could make a good 'living' out of crafting items and selling them to shops or especially other players via your vendors.

Does anybody else wonder if the save clock on this game is wrong?  Where the hell have 55 hours gone?  We've only just scratched the surface.

I read in the manual that you can save your character on to your Wiimote and take it round a friend's house.  I thought that you could only play Arena mode with default characters, so I'm not sure what it does but I'm willing to give it a try!

If anyone wants an online game this evening, give me a shout.  Emma won't be back from work until about eight thirty and I'm going to start playing at about four to try and catch up on all my hours lost last week!!

Good man Oli, you may have just given me the excuse I need. I got in trouble for playing so long yesterday but I'm going to try my hardest to get on this evening. I should be able to get a couple of hours in from about four, then I'm popping out for a bit.

Should be back on by eight though! smile

Awesome night chaps and good work Oli.  We made light work of that Barroth.  What a team.  Hopefully we sped up Oli's progress through the game slightly.

Kantine and Megatrank!  I want the German version of the game!!! Thumbs Up

I'm tired today! Frown

Last night was what makes MLG great;

A few of us got together and turned an excellent online game into a superb evenings entertainment between friends.

Wayne went all 'Village People' dressed as a red Indian with a matching heart shaped shield and then gave us a lesson with his double spit roast!

Antman with his near encyclopaedic knowledge of the MH3 Wiki combined with his mad horn blowing skills and plethora of wacky weapons.

Oli got to straight down to business with his girlie character, swinging that Switch Axe and screaming like a woman who's sick to death of her fella paying too much attention to his console. And the bugger had time to take some screenies as well!

And of course me with those calming words of 'Its OK I've still got Two stun bombs, oh shit! Make that One stun bomb, I just pressed the wrong button and threw One in the sea' Embarassed

It was a brilliant time and for me its what online gaming should be about. Real cooperative play with loads of laughs and the exchange of ideas, information and tactics.

Wayne; Thanks for staying up for the last one matey, if its any consolation it was bloody awesome Thumbs Up
