The other Starcraft II thread seems to have self imploded up its own trump box and won't open….

Picked the game up last week and I'm absolutely loving it, finaly starting to get my head around all the mechanics after some hardcore Youtube viewing.  I'm still working my way through the practice league and having some really excellent 1v1 games.

Are any of you fine MLG folk plying this… Im on most nights at the moment if anyone fancies hooking up… username's ShrubBandit so feel free to drop me an add through Battlenet

Its just chuffin excellent and I'd love to have a game or two with some of the mightly MLG rather than just a selection of Eastern European random Jimmys.

Hazar! MLG'ers are on Starcraft II!

I have just clambered my way into the top 25 of Bronze which is essentially wank but leaves plenty of room for improvement 

Myself, Antman, Chris and HunterVP are playing… if anyone fancies joining for some 1v1/2v2 macro micro cheesy sneaky shooty shooty rush turtle tech action post your battlenet email and join the fun 

Yeah.. really it should make you play others who are unranked to gauge your skill…. it keeps pitting me against top ten silvers now which I had no idea it could do,  I assumed I would always play others in Bronze until (sorry.. if) I go up to Silver.

Its got  a really steep learning curve… I'm 130 hrs in and still know less than 10% lol… love it all the same though 

Thought I'd post this, as most of us seem to be Terran here is the unit counters list for our units. I've sized it so it prints nicely on A4.

you'll get there. i wish i could say it gets easier. but it definitely gets more fun. join in one of the sessions and any of us will give you some tips. even watching ants videos gives me ideas. 

Also if you really want to learn, go to youtube and search for day9 newbie tuesday. thats your start…

You really will get there, for accelerated learning watch some SC2 livestreams on twitch.tv the IPL league or Imbalanced.tv channels offer high quality video with excellent commentary.

If you look about 4 messages above here, I posted a table I made for Terran unit counters that has helped me immensly before you learn them.

Finally, if you add all of us and see us online, give us a shout and we'll have a game. If you could get on Skype aswell we can play co-op against the AI and give you a few stub build ideas to get you started.

hmm, I never did do this game justice, played for a few hours and got royally owned to the bottom of bronze league before giving up in a hissy fit

Picked up the starter edition on Friday and instantly upgraded to the full edition after completing the trial campaign missions. The whole game reeks of sheer class! It is also the most intimidating yet welcoming game I've ever played. Only played a couple more campaign missions and one 2v2 versus AI (I had little to no effect on the outcome of that match!) but can see myself playing quite a bit of this, even some multiplayer. I will add some of you guys from this thread, and feel free to add me – battle.net email is craigiehallam@hotmail.co.uk – Not sure how much I will be able to get on but will try my best!
