Ayup, all you wonderful and attractive people. I'm Scollay, long-time listener, first-time poster. One of the very few New Year's resolutions was to register on MLG and get involved in things. 19 days late but balls to it, this was miles easier than saying I'd get fit and lumping home a treadmill from Argos. Glad to be here, any road.

I'm 21, and from an arse-end port town in Scotland. Between designing kitchens, pub service, having a bit of a singsong, and getting slightly refreshed of an evening, my free time goes to gaming, as it has since I was a much smaller version of myself. Predominantly a 360, PS2, and PC gamer, I'm pretty flexible as far as genres go but fighters tend to be my go-to games.

Brushing up on Street Fighter and TF2 at the moment, while grinding away at Disgaea now and again. Feel more than free to add me on Steam when I brush up the old profile.

But yeah, anyway….well chuffed to be here!

Hey there partner.

Thats not a bad resolution to have at all.

I was going to make one of "be less shit" for Darens sake – but no point, it wouldn't last smile

Hi Scollay, welcome to the forums.

Which fighters do you prefer, 3D or 2D?

I don't think there is a better example of 'pure' skill in video games than the old 2D brawler.  I don't get a lot of time to play myself, but it really is a beautiful thing. thumbs-up

Welcome to MLG awesome

I'm liking your gaming related new years resolution which is a whole lot beeter than mine.

I'm not really a fighting genre sort of person (with the exception of a bit of Tekken on the PSP) why isn't there a lovers genre?

Welcome aboard the good ship MLG Scollay!

Glad you finally signed up after being a long time listener.

Gaming, gaming, gaming…never mind that, whats all this about you having a bit of a sing song? In the shower? Rock Band? Lips? Or do you front a band of sorts?

Back to the gaming, what fighting title would you recommend for the 360? For side by side on the sofa gaming. Not much of Street Fighter (read: 2D) fan, but back in the day I used to enjoy Tekken…and Soul Calibur was serious fun! Anything I can get for cheaps these days?

Guernica – I'm easy-osey as far as they go, but I do rock some 2D more often. Quite interested to see how Tekken x Street Fighter's going to bridge the gap…

Adamski – My throat's versatile enough to handle karaoke, acoustic jams with the team, singing games, as well as a steamy shower-head mic session. Been intending on getting a band together for a while, but good drummers are few and far between up here. Right, 360 3D brawling. Tekken and Soul Calibur you can easily get hold of for about a tenner. Single-player modes are both good fun with some longevity. Netcode for both is a bit rubbish, but that's no worries for you. You could even pick up Marvel VS Capcom 2 from the marketplace. It's 2D, but more fun than a bag of tits.
