Hello fellow gamers,

Personally I always find these introduction post a bit awkward; it’s as if I’m in front of a crowd during an AA meeting.

Not that I’ve ever been to one but this is how I imagine it feels; anyway here goes.

My name is Joeri and I’m an avid gamer.

Oh and I’m Dutch; was born and raised in Amsterdam, however; I’ve been a resident, NI, – and tax payer of the United Kingdom since 2010.

I have been gaming ever since I got my hands on my first game at the age of 7; my first game was Call of Duty: MW2.

Just kidding; I’m young but not that young – it all started with the NES and Super Mario bros.

Since 2007 I’ve been an honorary member of the Fathers for Justice bunch; honorary because I haven’t fathered a kid yet.

They took me in as one of their own and they’re always in for a good laugh and games.

When it comes to gaming platforms I cover most of them; if not all.

You can find me playing on a XBOX360, PlayStation3 and PC too.

On the PC I mostly play World of Warcraft (don’t go there) albeit not so much as of recently.

Over the years I’ve been going through several game changing periods per year; game changing in the sense of playing a different game to an extent that my eyes turn square.

(Not because I’m that big of a game changer at all; although I take stabbing and knife-throwing to a whole new level.)

So when WoW starts to get boring I tend to pick up the XBOX360 controller and get stuck into any shooter.

My favourite shooters to date are; BF2, CoD:MW, CoD:MW2 and BF:BC2. (because I had such a massive crush on MW2 I ended up getting it for the 360, PS3 and PC).

I’m also keen on the odd racing game now and then; Forza 2 & Dirt feed my appetite for burning rubber and exhaust fumes.

As of now I’m looking forward to BF3 and CoD:MW3.

Although I had some brief fun on Black Ops I sincerely hope that IW’s MW3 will give back that feeling of MW2.

TL;DR

My XBOX gamertags are:

1. Adrastoz

2. Adrastoz V2

Because I wanted to try out SKY on the XBOX and because MS didn’t allow me to change my country of origin I was forced to create a new profile.

However due to my recently refound appetite for shooters I decided to bring back the life to my old gamertag as I couldn’t be bothered levelling up all over again…

I hope I didn’t bore you to death with this wall of text J

Also as stated over at the FFJ and RCC forums I will make an appearance during the Eurogamer Expo weekend.

However as you might know all the tickets have been sold out for a while so therefore I will attend the evening and use my useless fact knowledge during the pub quiz.

I will also dig through my heap of Pile of Shame and see if I can come up with some stuff for the raffle.

Well looking into the mirror I'd say I'll eat anything; sweet or savoury it doesn't matter.

If I'd have to pick it'd be my girlfriends home made cupcakes for sweet; savoury I'd say salt and vinegar crisps.

As for beverage; I will never turn down a Guinness or an Amstel.

No Brownie what you meant to say there was that YOU'RE really nosy don't be blaming us lot.  Ha ha.  rofl

Welcome Joedri.  Good history there I do agree with your thoughts on Black Ops having loved all the Cods myself and playing them to death I was severely disappointed with Black Ops and can't say that I have spent much time at all on it online.  I'm just hoping that with Infinity Ward working on the new one they will capture my interest again once its released.  Don't think I'll be queueing up for it at midnight though.   smile

I've actually never queued up for any game; no matter how much I wanted the game awesome

This year I decided to steer clear from all the speculations and rumours concerning any shooter due to be released.

So when they're released I can just buy the game and be surprised.

Thanks for the warm welcome all; it's much appreciated.
