I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember, starting with the big cabinet arcade machines in my local arcade on Oxford Street, the fond memories of the cardboard on the floor and the smell of damp and mold…….

Progressed onto the ZX Spectrum and classics like Attic Attack and checkered flag before moving onto a C64, memories of late night Raid over Moscow and Beach Head marathons.

I think my love of RPG’s started on the Amiga with my all time favorite Eye of the Beholder that game had it all, crazy mazes and great enemies and levers to pull! I personally don’t think a dungeon isn’t worth its salt if there isn’t at least one lever to pull (personal joke regarding AD&D, which I will tell if you ask).  It was all PC from there on with likes of Baldurs gate etc, with a brief stint of Decent and most of the FPS games at the time.  Then I managed to get hold of a second hand PS1 and lost about six months of my life to Final Fantasy 7 and the other six to Metal gear solid, after that there was no looking back, had a N64 for Golden eye, Mario64 and Zelda OoT, Gamecube,PS2…etc…etc…etc.

So that was the brief version of my gaming life, I’m currently running a Wii and XBOX360 combo with a PS3 in the pipeline, just finished Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassins Creed II and now waiting for Fable III, but may get hold of Red Dead Redemption to tide me over, or I may start Zelda again……..a bit boring but as it’s still daylight and the moon hasn’t hit me yet I’m still fairly normal,I find the claws tend to scratch the keyboard during the full moon….

Oh and before I forget….

Favorite drink is Rum and my favorite Biscuit is the humble chocolate bourbon.

Hello Saracen, welcome to the forum buddy, please enlighten us with your 360 gamer tag so the 360 guys can add you to their friends list and invite you to a few gaming evenings, or send a friend request to the 360 tag "amidlifegamer" and you'll be able to add the guys from there, don't forget to add your PS3 ID when you finally pick up your big black shiny beast.

Greeting Saracen and welcome to mlg.  I must concur with the Eye Of The Beholder, forgot all about that game till you mentioned it and just had a lovely trip down memory lane.  Once you are PS3'ed up will look forward to having a game with ya.

Welcome aboard the good ship MLG Saracen2000!

Another 360 owners signing in!

Raid Over Moscow….now that brings back some memories…fuck me, where did you dig that one up from?!

Sounds like you have some historical gaming knowledge that could be put to good use in the form of a podcast question for Daren or Mat!??!

Rum, another one of those drinks where I kinda wished I could enjoy it. Whiskey & Guiness are others…taste like the devils own water shit to me.

Oh and I see you are tantilisingliy close to hitting the 20K Gamerscore….RACE YA!

Cheers afterblaster, I knew there were 360 people on here, and yes oldroo, viva indeed,  I'll tip a glass of some special reserve from Cassa del Saracen to you mate.

Adamski, I've got a million more mate, I think I've even got a few old copies of Zzap64! knocking around (if my wife hasn't thrown them out) and as for the devils own, I'll save you some of my Special reserve and then we'll see.  Race to 20k? mmmmm I'll have to pop out and get a copy of Avatar Wink
