Goodness.  I would like to thank you all for all of the podcasts that I have enjoyed.  That being said, I really do appreciate the commradarie that you two share. I am an old school pc gamer with more scores on GoG than Steam, but still have an appreciation for all of the dialog thet makes up the podcasT.  Keep up the good work.  All of the important answers about my dietary desires and so on are on my personal profile, my bad.  Drill away communinty, I will answer anything you ask honestly.oh-yeah

Welcome aboard Binklley.

Nice to have another Yank on the boards.

And it's also nice to have someone around that knows what a proper bisquit is (and what to put on it).

Welcome aboard the good ship MLG binkley!

For the non PC gamers of us, can you explain what GoG is please…(I don't get out much…well, they don't let me out much).

I'm sure there is a Midlifegamer Steam Group or something…someone should be able to point you in the right direction.

With all the console talk from Matt & Daren, are you not tempted to try a console out?

Anyway, if you wanna rustle up a possie to play anything on the PC, feel free to stick up a post in the relevant forum…

Haqve to agree with Brother Brown Todd, that looks like shit on toast…or sick on a scone.

GoG = Good 'ol Games  http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/

DRM free classic games that will work on a modern PC.

They usualy bundle in the game soundtrack as well.

This recipe might be more appetizing looking.

Nope, still looks like shite.

Bottom line is that it may not look pretty but, man oh man, that stuff is yummy.

I just KNOW I'm being subjected to British dry wit again but just for fun I'll answer the question.

Sorry for hyjacking your thread Binkly.

An American Biscuit, or a Southern Biscuit, is sort of like a fluffy/flaky savory scone.

This looks like a good recipe.

http://www.olsouthrecipes.com/…..cuits.html

The gravy is spicy ground pork sausage and white sauce.

Well what do you know, there's a one stop website for everything.

Not by your standards. US bisquits are levened and baked only once at a high temperature. The texture varies, however, based on the skill and taste of the cook. Some like them more on the crumbly side, most people like them to be flakey. American bisquits are baked quickly at a high heat and are intended to be eaten hot while the steam is still venting from them.

As mentioned before, the closest thing I can compare it to is a savory scone, but a scone typicaly includes eggs and heavy cream, and has more liquid in the recipe. This gives a scone a more cake-like texture than a bisquit.

If interested in American bisquit theory and cooking technique, try this link:

Sorry about the strange speak, I let a Hyde out for a walk ( I wasn't kidding about the 12 G&T's).   To answer questions, when I was 8 my mom worked full time and I was raised by 2 italian plumbers, though I had a penchant for playing Luigi.  Let's just say that I progressed through the bins full of shame next to me all the way to PS2.  The current gen of consoles still eludes me as the GF, or old lady according to the UK podcasts tell me, seems to think that every $ I don't spend on crap goes into the "ring fund."  Still, I try to keep cuurent through Steam or Good Old Games, GoG.com.  In my current state, buscuits: still an american breakfast food and sausage……yeah, sorry REALLY a UK thing.  You people can figure out how to ingest sausages amongst yourself.

Any questions, please feel free to ask ands I will do my best to answer clearly.

P.S. Classify it any way that you want Brown, the only way to eat a buscuit is slathered in gravy and too early in the morning to care about what you just put in your facehole.
