Hi all,

I am a 32 y/o lifetime gamer (with gaps!) and currently own a Xbox 360.

I play both SP and MP and my current games are BF3, Saints Row 3, Dead Island, and I am just about to start a co-op playthrough of Gears 3.

I work long hours and have a young family, so gaming is limited to a couple of short late night sessions in the week, and a longer late night session, normally on BF3, on Friday or Saturday late night (11 – 3).

I am a long term member of a small, close knit xbox forum which has been going 10 years now, but there are never quite enough posts to keep me going all lunchtime. A member there pointed me in your direction as another likeminded forum.

I look forward to having a nose through the forums and maybe catching up with some of you on one of the gaming nights.

Cheers,

Matt.

You are amongst friends here, Mr Egg Daddy.  Many MLGs balance their precious gaming time around their lovely families (myself included).

You'll find discussions going on here at all times of the day and night and there's plenty of hook ups going on too, particularly with GoW (MLG Gears and Beers Fridays are legendary…)

Come on in, watch the short safety video for your convenience and enjoy the flight!

Welcome aboard the good ship Midlife Gamer Mr Egg!

Co-op Gears 3 eh? I've been trying that on Insane with a buddy for about 4 months…just not got the reactions anymore(!), but still good fun.

If you've got a few hours spare on a Friday night, then Gear n Beers is a great place to meet some of the regulars. If you fancy a game of something else, feel free to knock up a thread in the Multiplayer meeting post….build it and they will come (for the most part!).

Stock question for you here on the forums….whats your favorite Bicsuit & Beverage?

See you on line!

(Thanks for conscripting more members Vimesy!)

I wasn't planning on trying insane, thought Hardcore would be more of a suitable challenge (but bet we end up doing it on normal!)

Hmm, biscuit and beverage?

Beverage has probably got to be a good old fashioned cup of tea, suits most occasions I think.

Biscuit, probably a 3 way tie between Crunch Cream, Chocolate Hob Nob and Party Rings!

Greetings from the North American Labor Outsourcing Division rofl

You certainly found the right place to hook up and game with some night owls. Half these guys work crazy postman hours and the other half are just crazy.

So, I see you have survived the first round of MLG interrogation questions.

Here comes Round 2.

Are You Ready?

You sure?…..

Question 2: What doth thou put on thy sausage sandwich?

The Sauce of Red?

The Sauce of Brown?

Or doth thou leave it pure and righteous?

Hmm, it has got to me brown for me, gone off red over the years for some reason.

I have joined the back to front way, via the forum rather than the podcast so decided I would d/l the episodes…… bloody hell there are a lot! 11.63 Gb later I have them all d/l and have decided to start from ep1.

I am so far, after 1 week, up to episode 15, and really enjoying it. Only problem – I keep buying old games that they are talking about, such as Braid for example. This could get expensive!

Welcome Egg Daddy.

My five year old also has lego batman/star wars smile, though have to admit I love lego games.

Also throw down your childish party rings and embrace the choco hobnob the king of biscuits (plain choc that is) smile.

Ah, that is something you'll have to ask Uncle Fista and Mantis Matt about! I think it was something that was a stock phrase on the podcast which seemed to have gained enough popularity over the years, its just stuck. I tend to use it in meetings at work these days.

Yeah, I think those phrases all come from Daren's brain.

Either that or there's some secret mailing list where he and a bunch of used car and insurance salesmen trade one-liners.

Ah, but that's how we love him. kiss
