Greetings All

Long time listener, first time poster who has come out of gaming retirement thanks to picking up a PS3 as a treat some weeks ago. I was burned out from some excessive achievement whoring on the 360, it being my e-penis and all that jazz but after taking a hiatus for a few months am now fully rested and looking forward to getting back into the gaming saddle. This time with fun first and whoring a loose second (so he says).

Have been a gamer for as long as I remember, used to work as a translator for Sega and Capcom in Japan some years back and am currently re-playing the Bioshock games since I picked up that Rapture novel but some other favourites include: Attack of the Mutant Camels, Rick Dangerous, Rolling Thunder, Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Donkey Kong Country, Dragon Quest, Shenmue, House of the Dead, Bully, Onimusha, Fatal Frame, Call of Juarez, Mirrors Edge, Dynasty Warriors (I know), Mass Effect and Yakuza. Quite a mixed bag but I’m trying to limit the list.

Anyway, really love the show, its always a great laugh which has me close to peeing myself at the office (though I reckon my boss likes this) so well done lads for putting in the time and effort to entertain the masses. I’ll put my tags my profile so feel free to add me but my thumbs and reaction times aren’t what they used to be so go easy, first head shot is on the house awesome

Noticed that you said that Mirrors Edge is high on your list… Hmm…. maybe you should think about getting involved in this http://www.midlifegamer.net/fo…..rors-edge/

I would love to hear what you think about the game.

Oh ohh ohh.. Before i forget, come on. Spill. Red or Brown sauce? and What biscuits with your brew?

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to introduce your self.

Thats one hell of a gaming background, even more so that you used to translate games for sega and Capcom. Any chance you can have a word with any old work colleagues and get them to get a move on a localise Monster hunter Portable 3rd over at Capcom wink

Only Joking, or am I!

Any how make to to check out the other areas of the forum and theres plenty to discover. As a famous giraffe once put it "Its all under one roof".

Have fun and i'll throw you a Friend Request if i rememer, always good to get some new people to game on-line with.

Take it easy.

You're so wise… Like a minature Buddha covered in hair!

Welcome aboard the good ship MLG Defiant!

That’s a wonderfully eclectic mix of titles there.

So close to the 100K gamerscore…was there anything in particular that made you knock it on the head or was it just getting ridiculous?

How about the multiplayer side of things? Keep an eye on the Multiplayer Meeting Post thread…or post up an invitation for other gamers.

Oh and do you go anywhere near twitter?

…still waiting for your Biscuit and Beverage of choice too!  wink

Thanks for the warm welcome (and friend requests) lads!

I’ll try to join in some online sessions in the coming weeks, I’m working late for the time being (being a megalomaniac isn’t as easy as it used to be) but things should ease off towards the end of the month. The achievement whore inside died a quiet death in 2010, I still go for reachable points and the OCD in me likes to 100% a game but gone are the days of aiming for 300 consecutive headshots at 3 in the morning or printing off maps and using shoddy walkthroughs to find an insane amount of hidden collectables. I basically had a mid-life crisis of sorts and realised that life is too short.

As for the all important biscuit, I’d go for a nice thick chocolate digestive but may go rogue and introduce a wild card like a jaffa cake into the mix if I feel the need to cause chaos.
