Im a 35 year old guy from Norway and pretty much dead center of a midlife gamer. I was actually told by Matt himselfe about Midlife gamer but it took me some time to realize what kind of a goldmine it really is. Now i got a MP3 player filled to the brink with all the podcasts wich is good entertainement for long days at work. Got some catching up to do.
I have two kids, boat house and a picket fence. And best of all, a wife that lets me play my games pretty much when i like. Heck, today she even accepted me running out and getting a 32 inch screen for my gaming room.
I make a living as a ventilation technitian wich probably isnt very interesting to anyone else outside the trade, but i like it and it pays the bills
My gaming consoles are PS3 and a PC. In all honesty i havent been using the PS3 that much. The last 5 years has pretty much been spendt in wow unfortunatly. I say unfortunatly cause i`ve been such a huge addict that the only two games i have finished the last 5 years is Mass effect 1 and 2. So you could say that i`ve missed out on some serious gaming action. But thats about to change now that i`ve got my own TV in my gaming room. I`ve set a priority list of Assassins Creed 2, Red Dead Redemption and GT5. After that i need to try out a few older titles. Heavy rain comes to mind…
I know i have a geeky gametag but i dont have the heart to change it. Remember in the old days when you got a highscore in games? You could only write a 3 letter name in. I`ve used the name since i played on my commodore 64. So im going to stick with it like an old faithful dog.
Well, thats it for now. I`ll be sure to pop by the forums regulary and im looking forward to future broadcasts. Take care and i will see ya around.

Its like the United Nations round here this week!
Welcome to MLG I don't blame you for resisting, this is more addictive than WoW in any case.
You now have to tell us your favourite biscuit, beverage and air conditioning manufacturer in case there are any other ventilation techs reading.

Hey Matt and everyone else
I dropped out of Treehugging hippies a while back, i found that the guild had changed and i had not. Been roaming aimlessly around Azeroth the last 6 months trying different servers. Even had a go at an RP-PvP server wich was….different. But it just didnt work out for me. I like the social aspect of online games so i tried a little Age of Conan aswell. But that game is too boring so it didnt last long.
We had fun on the weekend i was over and we recorded that podcast. Only think i regret is letting you interview me when i was pissed out of my mind drunk. I sound like a gay hobo with a flu on that recording. But hey, it is what it is.
My favourite beverage would be wine. Every friday for a few years now i sit down after the kids are in bed and open some wine and sit down infront of the PC. Thats when the weekend start for me. For a biscuit i`de go for chocolate chipped ones. The brand here in Norway is called Safari coocies, the name is probably different in England. God, i could eat buckets of those bad boys!
Like i said in my initial post, i havent played much on the PS3. THe only game i have tried online a bit is GT5. But i`de love to get stuck in there and give it a go. That in mind, are there many people in here that play online on the PS3? I`ve read a little in the multiplayer forum but it seems that most people play 360. ANd what games are played online?

Hi Tai, Welcome from me too and we don't mind 'gay hobos' around here so no worries ha ha you should fit in pretty well. There is a bunch of us PS3ers that arrange get togethers and play whatever games we all have, mainly RDR though as we're all pretty much addicted to the zombies mode but we play LBP and Burnout occasionally too. I notice you want to give Heavy Rain a go, that is one awesome game I loved every minute of that and its so different than anything Ive ever played before. You really must play it through in full and see all the different endings or you'll really miss out big time though.

Haha, Norsken din er kjempebra!. Den er litt krydret med svensk men det liker vi. Takk skal du ha.
I`ve been hitting Assassins Creed hard in the weekend and unfortunatly i finished it today. I`ve been listening to the podcasts where Matt and Darren speaks of the ending and it made perfect sense. God, that wasa good game. how i managed to put that down halfway i really cant understand!! The only upside to having finished it is that i have Assassins creed – Brotherhood to look forward too.
But first i have some unfinished buisness in the wild wild west. And im going in, guns ablazing!

Hi Tai
Welcome to MLG good to see someone stick to there Guns with their gamer tag. I had to elaborate on mine to make it fit in with other people getting there first. How about setting up a portable ID and putting it in the signature box it makes it easier for people to add you as a friend
