Alright Guys,

This is my first post to introduce myself to the MLG community.

I am a XBOX360 gamer apart from the occasional visit to the Wii and DS to play mariokart with the missus (the only game she likes).

I have had all the consoles over the years. I'm almost 30 years old so I started on the Megadrive with Altered Beast and was a Sega boy for years. Then Ebay turned up and suddenly I was surrounded by cheap 2nd hand Nintendo consoles trying to make up for the awesome games I missed. In fact its only now I really appreciated the 8Bit sound that all games had. I have been making music for years as a bedroom producer/DJ and I am trying to recreate some of that magic in my recent compositions.

I normally have a disc game and a Xboxlive Arcade game on the go so I can adjust depending on the amount of time I get to play. Currently I am playing From Dust & L.A. Noire. Loving them both. From Dust is just what I want in a arcaed title and L.A. Noire is epic. Just doing all the side missions now, the story is complete and I must say Rockstar have excelled with this title. I've never been so involved with a storyline.

More importantly, I hear you crying out to know my favourite biscuit and beverage:

Milk Chocolate Hob-Nobs and M&S Coke.

Also a pack of Toffee Crisp Clusters always seem to be in the flat.

Hope that's enough to get me judged and accepted?

Cheers, UnexpectedgGuest

Welcome aboard the good ship MLG Unexpected Guest!

Producer / DJ you say eh? Well…how about you drop some of your recent compositions in here for us to listen too?

Like the idea of a packet of [insert your favorite chocolate of choice here] is always in the flat/house.

That's how I roll, but for me it is the humble Jaffa Cake…never more than 6 feet from a Jaffa Cake in my house.

So once LA Noire and From Dust are put to bed, whats next on yor gaming radar?

Oh, you on Twitter at all?

Alright UG nice to meet you buddy.

An hay, I notice your a DJ too, well its about time we finally had another international superstar DJ on here (you did say you were an international superstar DJ didn't you, never mind)  I spin the one's an two's brother, yes it's always down to me to get the party started round here but your now gonna take some of that awful pressure off me…………….and my glass back.

Well this is your chance UG, I wanna see what you've got down below, wax lyrical.

Don't get me wrong a proper glass bottle of Coke is truly the best drink but M&S coke is very similar and makes me feel a little bit posher.

I've recently gone digital with my DJ setup. Got myself Traktor Scratch Pro 2 and am currently converting my 900-1000 vinyl's to MP3. I tell you, it makes you realise how many good and bad tunes you own and if you want to bother converting them. Scatman John anyone???

I have a website http://www.unexpectedguest.co.uk with a link to my soundcloud account. It has one mix, a couple of "works in progress" and some others there if you fancy a listen.

Back to the games. From Dust is brilliant for two reasons. You feel like a god changing the landscape and controlling earth/water/fire (Almost Captain Planet) and there are many ways and choices to complete a level. It makes you want to play again and try a different approach.

I've gone as far as I want with L.A. Noire now. Not sure I want to collect all the film cannisters. Not really a big fan of all those collectible bits Rockstar always add to their games. Shooting those pigeons in GTAIV had no appeal to me.

I'm undecided on my next game. Might go back to the pile of games that I have yet to give the time they deserve. Borderlands is one I know I will like but i only gave it an hour before moving on to something else. I also want to restart Fallout New Vegas. I played it through once but made some very poor decisions and didn't really get any ending to the story and now everyone hates me.

But now that there are riots going on all around where I live at the moment, I think I will just stay in and play games.

I might just do that. I will need to spend a bit of time to re-familiarise myself with the game but that sounds like a good idea.

Nice one. I am on call tomorrow which means I have to stay at home and the missus is out at a fun fair with friends so it would be foolish of me not to waste an opportunity. See you online.
