My name is jamtomorrow, and I am a midlife gamer.
40-something, married, two kids, mortgage. I'm a teacher.
Gaming is one of my antidotes to life.

Welcome to Midlife Gamer hope you enjoy your stay
Just a quick question…..
What is your gaming platform (and gamertag?)
Someone else will be about real soon and ask the most important of questions.
Again welcome to the forums, hope you have checked out the podcast's if not do they are pretty good

What a pleasant set of welcoming words! I'm an Xbox gamer, as it happens; ATM my gamer tag is jamtomorrow, but 99% of the time you see that profile online, it'll be my 13 year old son rather than me, so I'm going to get me a new one shortly.
I came to midlife gamer via the podcast; I had been a regular listener to the Xbox World podcast, but when the magazine went belly-up, (unsurprisingly) so did the podcast. Forlornly searching iTunes for another, I came across this one, and I haven't been disappointed.

Oh well jamtomorrow you can't win every-time
However you haven't answered the most important question what is your Biscuit and Beverage of choice and be careful because you will be judged on this one
See you on the boards

Hmmm… Biscuit; well, that would have to be the Hob Nob (the chocolate-free variety) and beverage of choice would probably be (though there's no way I could ever confine myself to a single choice), excluding, of course, the cup of tea, some species of IPA (Brew Dog make two fantastic ones). Only I've just given up alcohol for Lent. Never mind, the first one on Easter Sunday will taste all the sweeter.
