Good evening to to you all. Just thought I would introduce myself to you all as I'm new to the forums. My name is Andy and I'm at a very controversial age to be on a site that focuses on midlife gaming. I cannot claim to be a midlife gamer and therefore cannot claim the experience of many of the other members as I am only sixteen. I've been listening to the podcasts for about a month now and thought it was about time I came over to the forums to show my support for the podcast if nothing else.
So on to my gaming history (all be it a very short one). My first memory of gaming is that of a friends gameboy colour and of pokemon yellow. As soon as I got my hands on this piece of Asian gaming perfection I was hooked. The first gaming device I ever owned was an original Xbox. It was glorious. Colin McRae rally 3 and controllers bigger than my head, this was another point in my life where I realized that gaming was something that I really, really enjoyed. Since then I have had a 360 and have recently gotten back into handheld gaming with my iPod.
Another confession now. I don't have Xbox Live. I know, I know, it might be a bit of a drawback but I enjoy gaming all the same and hope to be spending some time on the forums in the future.
Talk to you all soon

Good morning to you Sir.
Welcome to the boards. Your mastery of the English language, punctuation and grammar, is highly commendable. A very articulate introduction.
Sixteen or middle-aged, it matters not. Hope to read some more of your thoughts soon.

Yeah what the G-man said. Did you know you write like an old fella?
Anyhow we don't care if you're Oscar from Sesame Street or Oscar Wilde you are more than welcome amongst our happy throng of gamers.
Watch out for the 'groomers' though they'll be luring you behind the virtual bike shed with promises of a Jigglypuff before you know what's hit you!
Biscuit & Beverage please, and make it a good'un.

Do not worry , the hints for Xbox Live have been firmly dropped for some time now so a merry gaming Christmas it may well be. As for the biscuit and beverage of choice I would have to say either a hob-nob or a custard cream… Or a lovechild of the two (There's a gap in the market for you). Beverage would have to be root beer. Very difficult to come by in this country, but that just makes it all the more special.
Games I'm playing at the moment. Well, with all these big hitters coming out in time for Christmas and me being a bit short on cash, I've found myself either returning to my pile of shame or wandering aimlessly around the preowned section at the local game store hoping to pick up a hidden gem. My most recent purchase was Mirror's Edge (Thanks to it becoming the game of the month a while back), Bad Company 2 and I dread to say it; Fifa 11. In my defense it was 3 for 2 and I couldn't turn down such a deal.
And thank you for all the kind welcomes, I hope to be spending more of my time here in the future

Welcome to MLG, young fella me lad. It's you young uns that skew the average age of us forumites in the right direction.
All the best in your efforts to 'go live' – there's a big, bad world of fun, community led gaming opportunities out there waiting for you…

Again, thank you everyone for the kind welcomes. And I found the podcast on one of my random conquests through iTunes. I was pottering around the podcast section looking for something new and I think MLG was featured, so me being the games lover I am I decided to give it a go and never looked back.
