Hello everyone! I just happened to stumble into this site and I am glad I did. I grew up in the 80's playing mainly the atari 2600 then later went into PC gaming with my TRS 80 color computer. Anyone remember the magazine named Rainbow? Anyways, these days I'm into all kinds of games and I'm currently playing Resistance 3 (on chapter 17). I just recently finished Warhammer Space Marine on the PC. I own a 360, PS3, and even a Wii. I prefer to play multi-platform games on PC and really like Steam. I'm hoping to find some adult more mature gamers to play online games I rarely play online now due to all the immature kids. I hope I didn't bore anyone and I'll now be a frequent visitor.

Welcome mate.

I too started with a 2600, why aren't consoles made from teak effect plastic these days?  Based on this fact u may be of a similar age to me.  Which is good cos there are a lot of youngsters in their 30s on this board so we need to re-dress the balance.

As I'm first to welcome you I will ask one of the required initiation questions, favourite biscuit and beverage please.

Also post your gamertags and we will friend u up.

Hello -

First off I posted by gamertag for PSN, XBL, and Steam.  As you can see I use the same name for each of them.  The next game I plan on playing is Dead Island on Steam.  The issue now is that I have a broken headset and I need to buy a new one.  I need advice on a good headset that I can use for both PC and PS3 (I have one for XBL).  I appreciate the assistance and I'll run out soon to get one.

In terms of Warhammer Space Marine I thought it was a good game.  About half way through it does start to get a bit repetitive, but overall it was a lot of fun.  I haven't played it much online, but from what I did play it was fun as well.  I'm not sure how the console versions are as I only played in on PC.  With all the games coming out now, I'd wait until you can pick it up for around $30.  You can already find it for this price now if you buy a steam code from a third party.

I saved my initiation question for last since I'm a bit nervous.  laugh  Since you are from the UK, my answer to favorite biscuit would be chocolate chip.  In the US (where I'm from) I'd answer this with chicken biscuit from Chick fil a.  Favorite beverage is pretty universal and I think you are referring to beer or ale.  My favorite would be Fat Tire Amber Ale although it is a bit pricey here.  Hopefully I did ok.  laugh

I look forward to seeing you guys online!

Hello there buddy.

You don't have to worry about boring anyone in here. We're all awesome and love to getting to know new people.

I'd suggest posted a thread up in the Gaming Section regarding a good PS3/PC headset – we have loads of community members that are experts in both so, someone will help you out and get you on the right track.

Its always good to get our international brothers and sisters opinions in here – so get active mate!
