Hi All,
StuRam, connecting from Hobart Tasmania. I am a 42yr-old gamer born in Scotland, lived in South Africa, and now based in Tasmania. I enjoy gaming on PC, PS3, PSP (and my son's DSi once he has gone to bed), pretty much all types of games.
I have recently started listening to the podcasts (starting from the first couple way back in 2008) on my way to and from work and really enjoying them (did Darren ever get his Christmas present from Matt back in 2008??).
I must admit to being extremely jealous of the fact that you guys are able to catch up and shoot-the-shit on a regular basis.. here's hoping there are a number of members in the Hobart area and we can start up a midlifegamer-downunder offshoot.
Cheers
Stu

Hi Stu and welcome. We'll have to see if we can combine a time that fits with a few of us to get a gaming session on then maybe if you're up for that. Seems like Mlg is spreading far and wide now we're getting a few international cousins lately.

Hi Brother Brown, Definitely a Chocolate Digestive and a Cascade Lager (local Tasmanian beer), not together though, that would just be wrong.
Thanks DrunkRogue (I do like your avatar, it is the same as my own sackboy, I am a big Rogue Trooper fan).
Cherry Scones, it is a little difficult to get any sort of overlap unless I take a sick day, one day (I am up to the idea of it, just give me a reason to do so.. )
Thanks for the welcome messages guys, much appreciated.

Hi All,
I have not got into RDR yet, I have just started playing through the GOTY version of Fallout3 on the PS3 after listening to Darren and Matt discussing it again in episodes 40-45 of the podcasts (I am still working my way up to the current episodes).
Adamski, the gaming scene is pretty active down here, games tend to go for about $100.00 for new releases, there are about 5 or 6 different retailers down here which sell games, including the major chain stores (EB, JB Hifi, Myes, Big W, etc). I have a twitter account, but it is normally used to auto-forward postings from my work-related blog.
It looks like I need to dig Mirrors Edge out again and see how I get on, seeing as how it is the Game of the Month..

Just got to listen to episode 48 of the podcast, and Darren has finally received his christmas present, apologies to Matt for even doubting that he would pony up .
