Hello. Finally got around to joining the forum! Have been listening to the show since April 2009 (and after listening to one show went back through all the podcasts from 1 to whatever it was at the time). I think what really got me hooked was Daren's joke about Street Fighter and chip shops (remember that?), but really it was more the fact that both Daren and Matt seem to compliment each other so well making it a very easy to listen to podcast.
Well, a little about me. I am 37 and living in Japan – have done on and off since my early twenties – and definitely fall into the old git, sorry, midlife gamer age range! Gaming-wise I first rolled with an Atari 2600 (yes, it had the wooden panel!!!) – which even had a switch to change between colour and black and white – can't say Combat prepared me at all for FPS's or driving a tank in BC2 though! Since then I had an Acorn Electron, Amiga 500, PS1, PS2, Gamecube, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox and now roll with PS3, 360 and Wii. Not forgetting GBA Advance Sp, DS, and I still have a PSP-1000, which probably made me one of the first Brits to have it without selling body parts to get it around release date. Still works well though!
I roll with the PS3 online and only have silver, sorry, cheaparse, sorry, free account on the 360 . God only know what my Wii code is….
What with the time difference (9hrs in winter 8 in summer) it might be difficult to game with some of you, but feel free to add me on psn, with mlg or balls deep in your message.
Oh, being an expat, biscuits and beverage are VERY important, but my favourites are always either a) hard to get hold of locally or b)bloody expensive to send by post. My beverage is tea, not loose leaf, just your everyday teabag, usually PG Tips and my dipper of choice has to be the original Hob-Nob – hardly ever falls into the mug despite soaking up loads of tea…… I hope this is to the members satisfaction
Currently working through my pile of shame – at the mo I am playing Assassins Creed. What a beautiful game. Have played a lot of BC2, Uncharted 2, Medal of Honor (soooooo underrated) but need to play more Dead Faction amongst others.
Oh, and for my masochistic tendencies I am a Liverpool supporter.
Looking forward to meeting you guys online.

Nobody forgets the chip shop joke!
Welcome to the forum buddy. Glad to have some from 'the other side of the world', and another 37 year old!
I'll whack an FR over (if I remember)!

Welcome to MLG
Oh boy you have something I want. You must have a Japanese 360 account which means you can play Monster Hunter Frontier online.
I want to be your bestest friend… right now!
Don't worry about an 8 hour or so time difference some of us keep some very strange hours indeed.

sorry Hugo – only silver on the 360. Here most people play Mo-han on the psp (Monster Hunter Portable 3rd) it seems. You would not believe how widespread/popular that game is. PSP is really popular over here – but I still have not seen anybody with a PSP-Go!!!!

Hello Mr Crayon,
Welcome to the MLG Epicentre, from you very in depth introduction (Cracking effort BTW on the Biscuit and Beverage) i can already see your going to blend in well like a perfectly stirred tea bag in a mug of boiling water.
Hope to see you round, and make yourself at home. I'll prob shout a FR your way on both systems if i can remeber

In case you don't know that above was me talking in the sign language I learnt Lol. You should put a translation up of what you just said coz Im so nosy that it really annoys me when I go in our local foreign takeaway and they talk in their own language in front of you and proceed to laugh at you it makes you feel dead paranoid. Or does that only happen to me ha ha.

What I said was "Cor, Cherry Scones sounds hot but she has 15 platinums so really scares me!" Good job I didn't write in kanji I guess (what I really said was "Ooh, your Japanese is really good! I am an English teacher" I think the former sounds better… )
