Howdy, new to this site, but not to the world of gaming, been gaming since the 80's and loved the good old speccy

Go by the name of IisDaLaw on Xbox Live, and am a massive twitter'oholic, (@knackeredback)

I'm a 30's gamer, proud dad of 3, and am part of the fantastic rccgaming and ffj360 group.

As a gamer i'm mainly into Fifa, and Racers. But i have recently got the bug for shooters again. (desserted me about 2 years ago) So back into the likes of COD, MOH, BBC2

As a person, i love a laugh, a beer, and my footy. Massive Arsenal and Colchester Utd fan.

Also love a few tv programs, these being- Chuck, House MD and How i met your mother. I watch lots of other stuff too, but there the shows i just can't miss.

Other than that i'm just a family guy, who does family things

Welcome Welcome Welcome lisDaLaw!

First things first….

  • Red or Brown sauce on your breakfast sandwich?
  • Biscuit of choice to accompany your brew?

Have a good look around buddy, give us your opinion in what ever thread tickles you. Or start your own.

Any problems, let me or another CM know.

See you around!

Welcome aboard the good ship MLG IisDaLaw!

All good with the Daddies sauce…same with me…the kids know its got my fucking name on it and they don't get any!

Oh and a speccy gamer…rubber keys?

Such great memories of gaming on that….getting the volume level just right (anyone else have a little tipex mark on the volume?).

Mmmm….here's a question for everyone….would you rather have 80s retro graphics WITH multiplayer or todays graphics and NO multiplayer?

Hi and welcome from me too.  Alas I'm only on the PS3 so our paths aren't likely to cross any time soon but I'm sure you'll have loads of fun with the '360 massive' anyway.  See you on the forum.  smile

Rubber keys, and all. loved my speccy, still got it in the loft with all the cassetes. Very fond memories. My parents upgraded us to the 128k speccy, after a year or so (one christmas) and that was my gaming choice, right up to the  launch of the sega mega drive. Another beloved machine.

And then massively hooked on gaming. Went through all the systems. The only ones i missed were the gamecube, and so far ps3. Although that may change at somepoint.

Use to love the dizzy games, paperboy, peter shiltons handball maradona on the speccy

And then got hooked on a couple arcade machines, Rolling Thunder, and WWF Wrestlefest

 (Rolling Thunder)

 (wwf wrestlefest)

As for the question about retro with multiplayer or todays games and no multiplayer. Thats a hard choice, we all prefer game play over, top graphics, although the need for realism, seem to be more and more.

i'll stump for retro, as i'm a gamer that likes to compete, and they are the games i grew up with. And even now i go back and revisit the games i adored, and wrestlefest on xbla with multiplayer would be wicked, and surely a big hit. Don't get why it hasn't happened yet

And i have a big confession, i love game room on the xbox. haha
