Hi all.

Found this place today, and decided to sign up after a cursory exploration.

I'm 39, and am what I guess you could call a veteran gamer.  My gaming history starts in 1980, and goes like this:

Commodore VIC-20

Sinclair ZX81

Sinclair Spectrum (various models over time)

Atari ST

Commodore Amiga (600, then 1200)

PC (from about 1992 to this very day)

Playstation

Playstation 2

PSP

Wii

Playstation 3

I only really use the PS3 and PC now, but still play some classic 8 and 16 bit games thanks to the wonders of emulation.

I'm from and living in the Highlands of Scotland, and am looking forward to settling in around here and chewing the cud with you guys.

Far an taine ‘n abhainn, ‘s ann as mò a fuaim.

Welcome welcome welcome Lianachan, to probably* the best gaming forum on the planet.

Have a look around, pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable…

I'm not really a PC gamer myself so tell me; what game 'Float your Boat' on your PS3? Anything you could join a MLG Community night on?

See you around, i'll have a pint please..

Baron.

Thanks, all.  Questions…. Right.  Answers:

what game 'Float your Boat' on your PS3?

I tend to prefer the more open ended games – things like Assassin's Creed games,  GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3, etc..  Playing a lot of GT5, too.  Waiting reasonably patiently for Skyrim.

Red Sauce or Brown Sauce on your "Cud"

I've seen this asked here before, and notice this particular subject has already been broached…. but:

conventional  sausage – brown sauce; lorne sausage – English mustard, if I may be permitted such a luxury.  Failing that, brown again.

Biscuit & Bevrage of choice please good Sir?

At the risk of immediately ostracising myself….. I'm not a huge fan of biscuits.  If pushed, I'd probably go for a dark chocolate digestive.  Surprisingly good with Danish Blue cheese, too, as a biscuit emergency forced me to discover one night.  My favourite wee refreshment would be a generous helping of Bruichladdich, or (and?) a smashing pint of lovely Guinness.

Got a Steam account? and Anything you could join a MLG Community night on?

Years of no, then rubbish, internet access has meant I've got so used to single player gaming that I've never bothered trying multiplayer at all.  Up, in principle, for putting that right though.

Nice to meet you, it's always nice to have a new face around these parts.

Look fowards to chatting over the coming months, just a shame you dont get an awful lot of On-line gaming in but if your looking to buck that trend then you've certainly come to the right place.

Make sure you check out the Multiplayer section of the forum as there are always people looking for another "Team Mate" or "Co-Op Buddy".

I gotta say interesting choice on the Biscuit instance as i've never really had the inclination Put cheese on a chocolate digestive……….The mexicans put Coco in Chilli so why shouldnt it work…..RIGHT? rofl

Have fun and hope to see you round.

You're so wise… Like a minature Buddha covered in hair!

Welcome aboard the good ship MLG Lianachan!

A fine crew of salty sea dogs we have here…oooarrrggghh.

Sailing the of choppy waters of the gaming high seas…or calling into the nearest port if the going is really tough (i.e. No Online PSN).

Can I ask if there was anything in particular that caught your eye that made you sign up after mooching about the forums?
