Impulse purchase at bestbuy last week – justified to myself seeing as i never get xmas and birthday presents worth a damn because i'm 'impossible to buy for', so this is all of them rolled into one.

So far it's simultaneously improving and ruining my life.

Improving because it's so damn cool having internet everywhere, games like words with friends, angry birds etc. which 5yrs ago my hardcore self would never have considered for a second. Not having to wait 10 minutes for XP to boot up is worth the price alone.

On the downside, i've barely done a scrap of work and my sleeping pattern is bollocksed as im sat in the garden playing games, reading flipboard, and listening to podcasts and red dwarf audiobooks till 4am.

All i need to do now is downsize the three windows pcs we have into one mackbook, and i'll truly be steve jobs bitch.

Best $500 ever (not counting trades done with wife for sex)

Good to hear your enjoying it!

I didn't really like mine for the first few months. Just left it in the corner next to the TV only useing it to look up actors and checking sites while i was away from my coputer. Then i started to use the ibook section and have been reading plenty of sci fi to and from work (when i get the bus). Since then, i've been useing it more and more. Just got Tiny Tower (ruining my life) and plenty of other games.

I think the problem i had was that i spend so much time with computers all day… that i never found the need for the iPad…. now it fits in perfectly ^_^

I mainly got it because I work on pcs 50% ish off the time and even tho I like reading news, podcasting, etc… I just don't wanna be in my office any longer than work requires.
Also losing days to tiny tower…only up to 7 floors and my original principles of giving people best suited jobs has been replaced with ruthlessly forcing them into jobs just to get the revenue. There's a recession on.
