Anyone else check out lovefilm. Go to say i had to rush home last night, i think its the best thing to hit ps3 for a while.

Got on last night and streamed a movie and it was very good, not the movie but the service. A good selection of movies to stream for free as part of the rental by post package i've signed up to, the streaming is worth the £10 alone as far as i'm concerned. Might hang up my peg leg and parrot for now…

I'm loving it. We don't have Lovefilm but our daughter does. She doesn't have a PS3 but we do.

Its nice to get something free off the kids for a change smile

Am I the only one that has been using the xbox and PSN film services?

Some might say they're a little pricey but when I can't be bothered to go out I always hit up a few films to pass the time!

I use neither, as I watch the films at the cinema I want to see(free cinema pass, so costs me nowt), not wait 6 months for them to come out on DVD.

Cinemas are great and all but they don't show everything.

Never used the psn store as it seemed a little expensive but lovefilm is a good fit for me. Thats whats great about the ps3 now, you've got psn video store, MUBI and now Lovefilm. They've got it covered.

The only thing i'd change is to drop the rental by post and allow us to stream the movies that they charge, even if it was just 4 a month.

Should be straight away buddy. Pretty much the time it takes to post the stuff out to you.

I looked at this for the first time last night

Have some great docs in there including the D&D one I've been wanting to see for a while.

The good lady just fell in love with it, I think she's currently catching up on all of her trash movies

Oi grumpy bollocks wink I went to Blockbusters with Jim on Saturday and they striped me £7.75 for Two films for Two nights.

I spoke to the bloke at the counter and mentioned I could get a subscription with Lovefilm for just a few quid more for a whole month and he said…

"Yeah its stupid they have no idea what they're doing"

I love a bit of corporate kick back smile

I'd pay for a streaming-only service, but I can't be arsed with all that posting discs business.

I watched the D&D doc on Sunday, the one you mentioned Matt, and its an eye opener. Don't know anything about how the game is played but i'm now left with the image of a female stormtrooper (starwars) with exposed stomach bursting through a door.

I watched it last night and I also have that image in my mind.

Wasn't a great doc if I'm honest, kinda lost its way.  Was only really the opening of the doc that displayed AD&D at its best.

Perhaps the next time I get to play I'll find a way of showing how it works for folks who are interested

So you don't even need to have a film rental deal? That is a good deal!
