As some of you may know, I've been rather disscouraged in my search for a 3D TV that would fit in my gaming cabinet.

I gave up the search and settled on those nice Turtle Beach PX5's Olli unboxed last week.

Well, this morning I discovered that Vizio has just released a 32" 3D TV that sells for $499 US.

Being a 50" Vizio owner I'd say I've been super happy with this comparativly new brand. I've never had need to call them but I hear they have excellent customer service.

Suffice it to say, as soon as the good lady gets a new job, you may get to see a new unboxing video in the forums. I suppose I better get started on practicing my german accent.  ;-)

I think HD or 3D would be pointless on anything less than 46"

I've been after a smallish 3DTV myself. The theory was that we don't want 3D for the main set as we don't want to have to buy glasses for 5 people in the family. A smaller 3DTV used only by me for gaming makes more sense, but no 3DTV I've found we smaller than 32" or cheaper than about £800

Based on my recent shopping around, it seems that the expensive shutter glasses are becoming obsolete. It looks like the newer 3D TV's have a special coating on the TV screen that allows you to use the cheaper polorized glasses.

A 26" would be ideal for me as it would be bigger than the 22" computer monitor that I'm currently using and still leave me some room in the cabinet for heat ventelation and the stuff I normaly have on that shelf. But I could fit a 32" in there. I would just have to move all my stuff to the shelf bellow and make sure it doesn't get too hot in the cabinet. Maybe cut out some holes on the side and install some CPU fans. I saw this trick done on an Coin-Op Arcade Cabinet.

Jees thats not a bad price at all is it

Have you tried any 3D gaming on it yet?

As impressive as it was to play Killzone 3 in 3D last year, I'm not sure how it would hold up through an entire game

Reviving a bit of an old thread here because I have a 42" Passive 3D TV rolling up at my place tomorrow morning

I'm sorted on the 3D movie front but any recommendations on games that make good use of the third dimension?

Any I don't care what anyone else may say, I think it's perfectly acceptable for a grown man to be giddy as schoolboy on Christmas Eve over the imminant arrival of a new TV….rofl

ICO and Shadow Of The Collosus for the PS3 have been given the 3D button as well.

That wikipedia list is pretty useful – I'm suprised how many 3D PS3 games I owned without knowing about it.

Unfortunately though my 3D debut has been delayed because the well known high street retailer I bought it from thought it would be funny to deliver me the inferior none-3D version of the TV instead. I'll be having a little face-to-face chat with them in the morning…angry
