does anybody know the laws regarding passengers drinking alcohol in a car? (uk)  some people i know say its illegal but they think they know everything anyway…. google is a bit hit and miss with the yahoo answers, looking for a legit up to date answer. cheers

just going to lee evans tomorrow and wanting to save some money spending on drinks at rip off arena.  few drinks in the car me thinks to boost my beer goggles, no beer though… dont want to be pissing my self all the way there lol

Wow! You guys can have open containers?

That's totally illegal in the US.

However, if you have a bus, limo, or large passenger van. Then drinks can be served in the back seats.

Can be illegal actualy, if you are supervising someone who is a learner driver you are subject to the same alcahol limits as the driver…. if thats not the case then you can drink until you shit yourself without fear of prosecution laugh
