Hurray for seasonal jobs! Since I got made redundant a month ago I've been applying for those as well as actual jobs.
Had a group interview at GAME on Tuesday night with 15 others.
I must have been the only one over 21. I'm 32.

probably gonna be a faff around with our housing benefit etc. wondering if we will still get it on a low wage?, and it may only just be 4 weeks work . but should get working tax credits too so hopefully will be better off.

Good luck fella, and agree with the posts above, if it looks game shaped, don't nick it as it's probably heading to my pile of shame

Typical! I got a call back from Game yesterday, saying they'll set up another interview next week.
Then I got a call from a place I'd had an interview at on Thursday who offered me a proper job instead!
There goes the dream…

So, what you gonna do? You not giving up the chance of a lifetime with Game for something as trivial as a job are you? ;-)
Congrats though :-)

I worked for GAME for a few years (back in the good ol' days!)
From what I hear from friends nowadays, its not as good a place to work as before.
We used to take games home for the weekend, play them then reseal them and back on the shelves they went. Any game was available for product loan (before the days of multiplayer codes etc) and this was a acceptable practice for the company. It was how you could express your opinion of the game.
The discount was always good and I think thats where I developed my habit of buying things and not getting round to playing them for ages, as well as buying consoles on day of release (which thankfully I have let slip a little bit)
Congrats anyway mate!
