How do fellow Midlifegamers?
Hope all that attended Eurogamer are nice and recovered by now, and if you didn’t then you enjoyed all the photos and crazyness that came back from London.
The reason I’m making this post is due to a rather exciting Skype conversation I had with a fellow Midlife Gamer last night.
Due to the success of the Saturday meet and how much everyone blew the roof off the venue, there are rumblings of a Midlife Gamer event in about 6 months time. How does everyone feel about this?
Now I know there already plans underway of the Meet up in Cardiff in November but im talking a little more then just people sat in a pub. We would be talking a down scaled gaming event, Nothing to fancy but would be worth the journey!
If you were to attend what kind of things would you want from such an event?
If The event was to happen it would be held in Brighton area. If people were to do the traveling, would you guys prefer it was a 1 day event, a weekend thing or 1 Long day into the small hours, anything goes really but what would be your preference?
Its still early doors yet so more details will come over time.
There will be a ticket cost but you'd only be looking at the same kinda costs as the likes of Eurogamer. how would you guys feel about paying a door fee?
HOW DOES THAT SOUND, THE MORE INTEREST WE GET THE BETTER CHANCE OF GETTING THIS OFF THE GROUND

Would most definitely like to express my interest.
Having sent that message out for a pint or two in Cardiff to try and encourage more mini MLG meet ups around the British Isles, from the responses already received I can definitely say there are many MLG members out there who are willing to travel from all over to meet up and have some fun.
What you have proposed would be a great laugh and a social gaming event that I'd do my darnest to attend down on the south coast so I can meet the friendly MLG community in the flesh (having gone to Sussex Uni in the early 90s and still being a staunch Seagulls fan, it would be an emotional return to my second home!)
Hope you can get this off the ground, looking forward to getting a date in my diary before the family commitments take over!

Sounds good to me.
Although unlike London you may want to avoid any specialist clubs with passwords in Brighton (or maybe not depending on your lifestyle choice )

Probably up for that. Just depends on the date. March onwards? I'd have to stay there the night, The Grand is good for me. But I expect it will be the Hell-iday Inn.

I could be a 1st time attendee noob if the date was suitable etc. Just no real life noob initiation like the obligatory chainsawing at gears n beers.
