Knowing this will be a subject close to people's heart, I heard on the news that Heinz have changed the recipe for HP sauce. They are reducing the salt content, and apparently it is now much more vinegary. Is this the beginning of the end??
This could affect your choice of sauce on a sandwich, surely we now have HP ( mod 1) and HP ( mod 2), but really to be truthful, can it be called HP sauce if it hasn't got the same recipe????
I should get out more, and maybe complete AC!!'n

I Just hate it when the powers that be decide what I can and cant put in my own body, I don't mind when they tell me its bad for me, but don't fuck about with time tested recipes and remove my choice. if the demand is there just do a new recipe sauce and give us a choice?

WHY!!?!! It's this kind of pointless tinkering that really annoys me. What's wrong with the current recipe? If it's selling why mess with it? As Seabiscuit points out why should we be dictated too as to what we can or can't eat, just give us the facts/health warning and then let us decide for ourselves .
And while I'm on a food rant what's the purpose of 'Limited edition' foodstuffs? It's not like I have a rare and exclusive item I can proudly display or sell on to another collector, if you make some tasty new foodstuff then why not continue to sell it rather than discontinuing in just for the sake of it being a limited edition?

The world is actually falling apart…..
I bet they say it tastes the same…. I haven't even tried the new stuff yet but i can tell you right now that i will notice an immediate difference. Surely this sort of thing falls under the national heritage protection thing….
IT SHOULD BE A LISTED RECIPE!!

So long as they don't change the recipe for Tesco Value red sauce (The 1 litre for 24p bottle) I'm fine….

I compare it to having gay sex, if you wanna stay healthy then don't use as much.
Two big dollops a week for me.

I dunno… As much of a quality avatar that is, it's a pretty gay example.
Seems to be that 2 dollops a week makes you gay o_0

I have been mostly rolling with a Levi Roots' Reggae Reggae Sauce Heinz Salad Cream combo of late, although I never much cared for HP anyway.

Heathen – Lee and Perrins is Worcester sauce, this is totally different from the mix of spices that make HP sauce. though Worcester sauce is an ingredient.
Now you need to go and sit and think about what you've just said :-)
