Yes, perhaps not what some expected, but… I can't help but think that the "half-singing-half-talking" in a fake Saaarff London / Brixton accent has been done before, and reached the limit of its success.  Fair play to your friend's daughter, Malc, but to me that sounded awful and I couldn't get past a few lines on each song
